So true, Force Repulse is just too prevalent. Some might replace turn, but the two-activation damage potential of swarms make it easy to get a killer Repulse off.

Thrawn counters Repulse, meaning if you keep you swarms near thrawn, the repulse won't work.

Exactly, which is why if you upgrade this kind of swuad, thrawn is a must. Against JWM'swhat if YOUR sitting in gambit? the JWM's have to advance, then those Evos blast at them for 40 dmg a hit. You cant just ignore that.

Perfect, this is a briliant squad. I really like it. In the right hands it could be very deadly.
It even can take on JWMs, if played right. However, a squad like The Swiss Army Knife would be a very, very hard to beat with this.

Are you talking about the 100?

It really isn't able to beat JWM's. They sit in gambit and your DTs MUST advance. That means death for you. Heavy Weapon = BAD.

Evo Troopers might be able to take down JWMs, the DTs don't stand a chance.

Yeah, I think they're talking about Evo Troopers, not Dark Troopers.

Then again, why anyone would use these new Dark Troopers when you could use an Evo trooper is beyond me. :?
I really like the Evo squad. I don't really like the Dark Trooper squad.

DTS are useful against high defense characters and grunts. Splash 20 alows them to deal 20 dmg even if the attack MISSES. So if you roll a 2 against Kun, and he doesnt make his save, he still takes 20 dmg. Thats about the only advantage besides flight

NO ONE on this page has realized that DT's are droids, and therefore not subject to CE's, someone needs to read up on their rules

And some one didn't realize that this thread was a year and half old. No need to necromance things just to rip on somebody else.
