restricting formats by set
Some chosing not to play the game if and when another company picks it up without the current mechanics

Looks like they lost some players think it's those players who went "OH SWEET STAR WARS!" it will be interesting this summer and what happens when Mist of Pandaria comes out. But I think TOR is gonna stick around for awhile and I'm highly doubtfull that it will go F2P anywhere within the next two to three years

They did say that it was profitable at 500k subscriptions so they are still way over that at this point.

Yep, and they actually forecast 1.2 million subscribers...they've got 1.3 million right now, and so they're doing well.

In the summer of 2011 (I think it was then), they said that they'd be profitable at 500,000 and VERY profitable at 1 million. If that's the case, things are good.


One thing I would like to see is server transfers/mergers, since some servers are very light on players, which makes it hard to do warzones and flashpoints.
