I was playing around with the idea with Darth Vader, Sith Apprentice.

--Jedi Purge--
46 Darth Vader, Sith Apprentice
32 Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo)
22 Imperial Governor Tarkin
18 Arden Lyn
45 501st Legion Clone Commander x3
11 Moff Morlish Veed
8 Mas Amedda
12 Rodian Brute x4
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 15 activations)

I just played a game a little while ago against a Thrawn Swap with Vader,SotJ and got destroyed. I took a whole new look at Vaders with riposte and found out that the new Darth Vader, SA has riposte and Djem So much to my amazement (don't know how that skipped me when I first saw him  ) He makes an excellent swap piece not only because he can Tripple Attack thanks to Moff Tarkin (something Vader, SotJ couldn't do) but he also gives you the chance to bring in some other weapons that I discovered were quite devestating. For 15pts, 501st Legion Clone Commanders have Twin attack, 50 HP, 16 def and 10 attack. Add in that they are commanders and thus get an extra attack from Tarkin. They also recieve Cunning attack from Vader. So in the end you have 15pt peices that can always attack at +14 attack for a total of 80 dmg and are Yobuck proof and Lancer safe. Arden Lyn is another peice I am very pleased with. People don't realize just how much damage she can take, and she makes for a perfect swap peice for Vader. Not to mention, she is a good deterent to Yobuck also with her twin opportunist. I decided to go with Moff Veed because he gives me the option to activate 1 or 2 minis each turn. I really hate situations where I have Ozzel and can't activate people I want to, so I'm opting to go with Veed who btw also gets an extra attack and opportunist making him an effective scrub killer. He can of course be switched out for Ozzel, and I may decide to do that latter on. But for now Veed seems to be a good choice.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions on improving the squad to kill even more jedi? :)

unless your really worried about being outacted you can take out moff for a good swap piece. I like to make room in my swaps for a Aminin Scout 18 squares of movement with wall climber can get vader around pretty effectively. you got 15 acts only other act control will outact you in most cases so i wouldnt worry about moff or ozzel.

Because Veed requires LOS to the enemy, he becomes a prime target. I'd just toss him aside for a couple more scrubs.

I think you need to work in Rex 501st commander, Opportunist Greater Mobile and Triple attack, +17 for 40x3. Nice.

Yeah, Captain Rex would be a mean shooter in that situation. Although he would not get cunning, opportunist is still available, and he could really let out some solid shots at 17 attack making him another force to be reckoned with. Not to mention, having GMA really helps.

While 501st Rex is a great idea for this squad, he does cost a lot and takes away points for good swap options like Arden. Vader+Tarkin+Mithrawn+Rex= 141 pts. That kinda limits how many 501st legion commanders you can have and you have to put Ozzel in to make up for your low amount of activations. I like the idea though! I made a 300pt squad with 501st Rex that is pretty brutal. It will be posted in Mass Battle squad section.

Honestly, I think if you're looking to run 1 or 2 of the non-Unique 501st guys, then I don't think Ozzel is that necessary. Your opponent will activate things to avoid getting pummeled by Cunning. If you've got both Cunning and Opportunist, Ozzel tends to hurt you more than help.

46 Darth Vader, Sith Apprentice
32 Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo)
22 Imperial Governor Tarkin
60 501st Legion Clone Commander x4
13 Amanin Scout
8 Mas Amedda
9 Rodian Brute x3
9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3

(199pts. 15 activations)

Here was a look at what people have posted before, I don't know if you like the version better or not but it definatly works.

You gain 1 Clone Commander shooter and the Amanin Scout at the trade of Veed and Arden.
Arden is a great piece but as swap fodder cannot take a beating against ranged.

I took a 3/3 split with uggies and rodians with the heavier override it could be important

Looks like it could work really well. I really like Arden for swapping since most times you can run her up to melee and survive a while, letting Vader swap in and take care of things. But i guess the amanin will allow for a lot of mobility and stealth always helps to. Thanks for the idea. I'll change me squad and see how it works out.
