After having some internet minis session in Vassal, and getting to know to this cool member named The Celestial Warrior (I hope that was your name, if I made a mistake, sorry, my memory for names is pretty lame) whom wich I had great fun (and got my butt kicked twice by him), he cheered me up to show here some pics of a cardboard diorama a friend of mine and myself did:

sorry for my crappy camera.
and a last one (with an even crappier cellphone camera) with my XXL sandcrawler:

It's all papercraft. Hope you like it!

Amazing . . . simply amazing . . .
And, yes, his online name is The Celestial Warrior, TCW for short. He's a great guy, both online, and in person.

OMG. So, you download and print it out from somewhere and color it yourself???

Looks incredible! I would love it if you posted the links to the downloads.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

And I'm glad I got the name right, pretty cool guy, tell him I said hello, :)

The modules for the walls (and many others) can be found here:

http://www.swminiatures.com/

And, more specifically:

http://www.swminiatures.com/2007/01/08/death-star-3d/

These are ready to print and go. I recomend thick cardboard paper (over 110 grs), since regular 80 grs paper will be too flimsy and the ink colors will be watered down.
Also, the models are supposed to be glued to the base, but I have mine all free to make as many scenarios as I want to.

The Falcon, and the sandcrawler, as well as others, can be found here:

http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~sf-papercra ... llery.html

However, these are thought to be small, desktop versions. I had to modify mine, altering the PDF files with corel to be able to print them on a much larger scale (specially the sandcrawler, which in the end had several pieces cut down into several parts to fit A3 size), and correcting some defects that were not noticeable when small, but pretty obvious when large, mostly the Falcon, wich has the turret windows from the YT-1300, and many homemade pieces, like double panelling for the rear exaust (it was plain white before, which was pretty ugly), a grid instead of the black square nothingness of the reactor, the entrance ramp and the 5 landing gears, among other things.

Also, if going for the big sized Falcon, I recommend using thick paper as well, since the bigger (and fluffier) it gets, the harder it gets to fit the escape pod pannels from the sides (. I learnt this the hard way, since the falcon in the pictures is my second attemp to do a big one).

I would post those, instead, but I can't find them anywhere on my hard drive, and, besides, all of the custom made parts were unlabeled, as I was the one "inventing" them, but someone else might have a hard time figuring 'em out. Sorry.

Anyway, good luck mounting these and happy gaming!

In swminiatures you have to register or login to be able to download the files, but I tried it today with no problem.

I was able to download everything, but the Death Star 3D link you provided and the Trash Compactor. When I download these all I get is a zip file sized 1KB with nothing in it. Have these been removed at the site level?

True, that's a pity, and reminds me that I mounted my walls some time ago now. I should have a copy of it somewhere. Should I find it I'll post it here.

Edit: I wasn't able to find the files at all. I posted an email to the webmaster, but since the site has been untouched for so long, I wouldn't put all of my hopes on that. It would be a pity that these were lost forever.
