Time to go fishing! :P Seriously though, just trying out new ideas of how to pimp out Whorm.

--Whorm Hunters--
38 Boba Fett, Enforcer
35 Zuckuss, Bounty Hunter
21 GenoHaradan Assassin
20 General Whorm Loathsom
15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer
10 San Hill
5 Caamasi Noble
3 Mouse Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(150pts. 9 activations)

I'm thinking about dropping Lobot and the Geno to go with CS Aurra instead + more filler. But I like having the Geno in there for a hard-to-kill gambit getter, plus the Twin with Poisoned Blade is a VERY nice GOWK counter since it counts as melee. Even if GOWK makes his Save 11 rolls, that could still be 60 damage with Cunning (granted, have to roll decent too). Has 120 damage output per round. I'm concerned that it would struggle against Pawned Lancer or Yobuck-Swap builds though.

I think Bossk works well with Whorm, not sure the best fill but running up and hitting for 60 would be nice.

Maybe something like this:
--Lizard Rend--
35 Zuckuss, Bounty Hunter
29 Bossk, Trandoshan Hunter
23 Jolee Bindo
20 General Whorm Loathsom
18 Lando Calrissian, Dashing Scoundrel
10 San Hill
6 Mouse Droid x2
9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3

(150pts. 11 activations)

If you face GOWK you can stick him in place, Somewhat out of the way, Jolee's Boost can help with those hits. The rest of the squad has big ranged damage written all over it. Also while Bossk has some cover fire from Lando and Zuckus, he could easily Run up twin and rend for some serious damage. If you can get him based with 2 enemies at the end of the round also I think you could win init and rend them both.

Rend does not work with Twin, only on the 2nd attack. ;)

Isn't the second part of a twin the second attack?

No, Rend has been ruled that it only applies on the 2nd normal attack. Twin Attacks interrupt that.

The old Bossk would be nice with the Twin/Momentum, but for the 4 extra points, I think I'd rather go with the new Bossk for the added HP and the Rend +20 for when you do get the Double Claw/Twin off.

I'd have to use him instead of either Boba or Zuckuss though, as I need to keep at least one melee piece in the squad to deal with the local meta, and the threat of GOWK. I like the idea of Bossk instead of Boba, but I like Boba's Mobile and Evade too. The 9 point difference is certainly nice though...may have to consider that.

Haven't played with Whorm much since I got him. Do you find that just having him and 1 MD is enough? I'd be a little nervous about that.

Yeah, I usually like to have more than 1 Mouse Droid, but the only way to get another one in there is in place of the Caamasi. Which would work OK I guess, but I like having the Caamasi to help the Geno on certain maps. Plus, depending on the map, you just play slightly aggressive with Whorm, and you keep him close to Boba/Zuckuss, while the Mouse follows the Geno around. I've considered a version which drops the Ugo, Mouse, Caamasi, and Lobot CLO and runs UH Lobot instead, and that way you could get several Ugos/Mice, but could possibly cause trouble trying to get gambit points. But I think I could do OK with this set up.
