Looking at the squads that are out there now, I'm wondering if Nom Bomb can make a comeback in 200. Something like:

54 Cad Bane
35 Zuckuss, Bounty Hunter
34 Nom Anor
21 Aqualish Assassin x3
20 Bith Black Sun Vigo
12 Advance Scout x3
11 Advance Officer
06 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
05 Camaasi Noble

Basically the trick is to use Zuckuss, Cad and Nom to shoot down approaching targets, and Zuckuss can also help with either initiative control or counter enemy stealth. The rest of the squad plays the traditional roll of damage support and figure removal at the correct moments.

I have NEVER liked the Advance Agent Officer in Vong squads. I can honestly say that I've probably never used it outside of A&E Sealed events. Your Scouts will only have a +6 with Cunning, so they won't hit much anyways. Nom already has Cunning. You're typically much better off working out the points so that you can run Yomin Carr instead, IMO.

I like the look of this build overall though. The question of whether it would be competitive at Regionals/GenCon is pretty obvious, IMO, in that yes, it should work. Some squads will have better chances against it than others, but my GOWK build got owned by a Nom Bomb squad in Chicago last year. So, I certainly think it will be something that we have to consider on some level.

Yup I'm not a fan of the AAO either.

I like how the Bombs are a solid counter to most YoBuck/Lancer builds, as neither usually include any kind of anti-SS.

But I'm not sold on the BBSV, sure he's a great piece for 20 points, but I'd rather throw in Yomin for the 20 damage spit, and trade in the AAO for a couple more scouts.
