--Old School Vader--
47 Darth Vader
31 Arica
11 Moff Morlish Veed
5 Imperial Dignitary
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(100pts. 6 activations)

Theo old Vader often never gets looked at anymore, but I think he has some merit. He can dish out 60 dmg, has good HP and has the all important Force Burst. He's decent and the cheapest of all the Vader's, and I think he will be pretty good in 100pt. Sith Grip can even come in handy depending on the situation. Moff Veed is for tempo control and I like how he has some survivability with 50 HP. Arica is the deadly ranged attacker and can easily clear away scrubs or even beat stick's if you win initiative. The Imp Dignitary is for gambit control. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I've never found tempo control to be super useful in 100. Most squads are about 6 or less activations anyways.

Plus Darth Vader isn't the greatest. even for his low cost. I'd prefer to see someone like Anakin SA.. or Vader SotJ (both cheapish, 39 and 55 respectively) and both still able to output 60 damage a round. Even Vader Unl wouldn't be bad for 3 pts more.

I know other Vaders are better, but I just wanted to brush the dust of this guy and make a squad with him. He should be good against scrubs. Tempo control probably can be done without, but I've seen some squads that have 10 or more pieces in them. Definitely not normal ,but Veed gives you the option to activate 1 or 2 pieces. I'm mostly giving the old Vader a chance. If I were playing competitively, not semi-competitively, I'd go with Darth Vader, SotJ. Vader Unleashed isn't to bad either. He will definitely get to use his Force Grip 4 at least once. He would also be able to help Arica against stealthy targets.

something a little more competitive then:

47 Darth Vader
32 MiThrawn
6 Mouse Droid x2
15 Stormtrooper x3 or Rodian Brute x5 (I might go Stormie/Caamasi + Gran + 2x Rodian Brute)

I would say that Vader is probably only worth about 31 points anymore. DVSL probably would only be worth 36 just because his stats are so solid even though he doesn't have as many tricks as this bad boy.

Love using Arica at 100. Blaster Barrage is great for dealing with a lot of the low-level characters your gonna see at 100.
