Ok guys so the the time era is new Jedi Order/Vong War

Characters will be the member of the New Republic. You do not have the option of being a Vong unless yo plan on being killed in the first session.

Guys what I am going to need is your level 3 character. We are starting with level 3.

Just right off the bat I want to say you need to be prepared to look at leveling every couple of sessions. I want our characters to grow.

So go ahead and start making your New Republic characters.

Once you post your character I will go over it and post in your post whether it is approved or not.

The only reason not to is to keep people from cheating but seriously I think we are all trustworthy enough to not cheat in an RPG. Besides you would really only be cheating yourslef out of fun. I think we can all roll with no problem.

If Dean thinks anybody's numbers are way off the top, then he just has to knock that person's stats down a couple rungs.

Funny thing about rolling for characters though....for our Dawn of Defiance group, I rolled for my character, as I didn't realize I was just supposed to use a 28 point build. I ended up with something more like 34 points or so. However, I still get my butt handed to me regularly during our sessions, so it honestly ended up not making much difference.

I can't play with you guys, but I look forward to hearing about the campaign. Good luck! :)

Growing up on Vahla was easy for the young Viktor Von Killenstein. His red hair was considered blessed by the species goddess; Vahl, Goddess of Fiery Destruction.

His father, Vanpyre Von Killenstein, was a former employee of the Empire, hired to hunt and kill Jedi Knights. When he returned, he trained Viktor about the force and about lightsabers. As such the young Viktor was already ahead of the other Initiate of Vahl candidates in 2 aspects, understanding of The Force and his red hair. Thus, the young Viktor was naturally inducted into being an Initiate of Vahl.

From childhood to manhood, Viktor studied diligently under his fathers tutelage for nearly two decades before his passing, and was taught many intricate force techniques and styles of lightsaber combat. At age 25 Viktor's father died, and he inherited his lightsaber, a silver bladed variant.

are we playing errata or no errata? It matter when building your character mainly if your going to be a Jedi or use the force. Jedi with the errata can have the mechanics skill and deflect/Block have to use a force to be used. I dont care which way we go I just want to know what way.

well I am not much of errata reader. So if I cant find it in the book I am probably not going to care what it says on a website I will not be going to. I am not being a hard ass..... it is just if I paid this much for all these books I am going to use them.

You will find I am easy to get along with as a GM. I am not interested in killing your characters. This is not me versus the group. This is you guys growing yours characters. I will throw things at you. If you start to get decmiated I will make adjustments to help you. I am more interested in a good game flow than going back and forth on the web finding out if something is just right.

Jonny: this means I dont care if you found something rather minute to further your cause. I am going to say the way things are and that is it. Please do not analyze other players characters. If I have a problem with their character I will address it with them.

Background
Cyrus' family served the Empire faithfully during the reign of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. His grandfather was one of the original regional governors, but was killed in a terrorist attack at the hands of Kota's Militia during an assault on the installation where his grandfather operated. Cyrus' father was a high-ranking officer aboard the second Death Star at the time of its destruction.

Cyrus himself has always been considered rather weak and frail in terms of his physical prowess, but his ability to charm and outwit his family's political rivals has earned him a position of respect among his people. With the death of his father, Cyrus knew his older brother, Arnot, would move quickly to secure a position of power for himself. In an attempt to outwit his brother, he immediately went to him and acquiesced his authority. He knew he could not overpower his brother in a show of force, and so instead offered the "surrender" of sorts as an attempt to outwit him. At the same time he negotiated the deal with his brother, he also made arrangements with people within his house that he knew would be loyal to him - not the least of which was Arnot's own wife, to help him take back the family seat when the time came. Shortly after Cyrus left his homeworld, New Republic forces arrived to claim control of the planet, something Cyrus anticipated. It was simply too close to Coruscant for the Empire to protect.

A few months later, Cyrus learned of a project to rebuild the Jedi Academy, and decided to join. He already knew how to use the Force to some degree, and thought some formal training might be in order. Though he despises the lightsaber and has never really made much attempt to master it, Cyrus has learned a great deal about the Force in a very short amount of time, and after two years, left the academy to begin planning his coup to overthrow his brother.

History
Gil was a good-for-nothing waste of space for his family until his parents pulled some strings and got him a job at a Mon Calamarian space mapping corporation. Not knowing what else to do with him the Mon Cal's shoved him into a ship with a small crew and sent him out exploring unknown hyperspace routes. Gil took to the job rather well and eventually his bosses decided to use him on jobs which involved exploring inhabited systems that were rumored to be pirate or smuggler bases, or simply places where the natives weren't friendly. For unknown to Gil, the corporation that he worked for occasionally did jobs for New Republic Intelligence.
