So we were thinking that the Imperials needed something that would help against strafing attacks and droids with double/twin. We added the Non-Sentient Special Ability to avoid any possible boosts to the character. This should prevent any problems like "Roger Roger," should they arise.

As for the Cloning Special Ability, we're still working on the wording to make it as clear and concise as we can. It's supposed to function like Princess Leia, Hoth Commander, but only for living Stormtroopers. I'm worried that it could be used for Fringe troopers the way it stands now, but it'll be cool in combination with Emperor Palpatine on Throne.

Let me know what you think!

Interesting, but I like my idea for it better. No offense.

I can't remember all the details and stats, but it's ability allowed a player to ignore the Unique rule of one character on his or her squad.

Well, for just bringing back troopers, and requiring a save of 16, I think it's a little over-costed. Look at Leia HC's cost and abilities, and then scale it accordingly. But you should have no worries about Fringe Troopers: there aren't any Fringe pieces with the word 'trooper' in their name at this point in the game. ;)

I agree it's expensive with the save of 16, but the troopers can re-roll using Palpatine's FP, which is something unavailable in the Rebel Faction. What do you think?

Did you do the Spaarti Scientist? I remember seeing that. I'm actually working on a Ko Sai (Kaminoan geneticist from the Karen Traviss novels), who would have that ability. I can use the Kaminoan Ascetic as the fig/art and not have to have a mod. What do you think?

It is kind of expensive, Leia's affected all non-unique followers, a save 16 is a little bad for that cost

What would you think of a cost of 14?

might work better, or you could make it a sort of trooper immediate reserve piece,

I'd drop it as low as 10 or 12 to make it competitive.

think of it this way:

save 16 means you've got about a 25 % chance of bring back the trooper (with no reroll)
if it costs, say, 10 to bring it in
then its equivalent to bringing in 2 troopers.
if 8 troopers die, odds are 2 will come back.

so the squad build would either be
8x Stormtrooper
Cloning Cylinder

vs
10x Stormtrooper

the cost for the CC could be as high as 15.. depending on the size of the trooper squads you're expecting to see (that would require at least 12 troopers to be 'cost effective')

so, 10~12 would be good cost in my eyes, but it may be that your local meta will force it to be more expensive.

then it would be simply bringing them back it life, re-enforcements would be more realistic, only troopers
