Well it now looks like star wars events take 8 players, my 6 person event has been "invalidated" due to having less then 8 players it looks like! So all of us who played today get no ranking!!!!!!! If anyone knows how to fix this problem let me know...other wise FU WIZARDS!

With DDM gone, their only real focus is on Magic (which does require 8-person minimum).

I'm sure someone will fix it... eventually.

Hmm interesting. Has anyone else had this come up, or was it localized to this one event? I know it's supposed to be 4 minimum, as Dean said. Perhaps as Boris eluded to, it's another SWMs oversight by the web crew - which wouldn't surprise any of us.

Hmm, Can you check the event type again just to be sure? The reason I say this is because my group recently did a GAW release event that had 5 people and DCI says Processed and that is from 11/2. I have another 100 constructed event from 11/9 that is still at Received that also had 5 people, I'll watch that and see what happens.

I realize this all seems like a very panicky situation
but
did you contact anyone?
take it form me, some time s it requires you to shake more than one tree ;)
make sure you send messages to not only DCI, but to WOTC directly as well

make sure you RESPOND to the return inquiries, in a calm rational manner- but be firm and insistant on getting the right results quickly

i have found that if you message repeatedly, you will get noticed
;)

Did you do the results online or with the reporter sometimes that makes a difference.
I have done two 6 man tournaments like 3-4 weeks ago didnt have any trouble.

I was told by Eric Larson that the store in Kzoo Mi said you have to have 8 players to do a DCI tourny. This was about 2 weeks ago.

Who ever sanctions an event IS NOT allowed to play in it even to make it so theirs no player's siting out with out a game on a Bi. How ever this is aparently aloud for MAGIC event's just not STAR WARS......Anyone else think that's pretty Stupid??? Its not listed as something you cant do ether!

I think that's true for both games in ranked events, and true for neither in WPN casual play. Could be wrong though about magic as I don't play it. It's always been true of SWM that the TO can't play. While I generally handle our TO duties being most familiar with the game, the LGS is the official TO of record because I always play.

Ya i only played to avoid someone going an hour with nothing to do. So i would like to know what happened with that...in the past i know TO's could.

No, you have never been able to. You likely are confusing a situation like Nickname is talking about where someone else was technically listed as the TO, but the real TO was playing. I've been playing DCI since 2005 for SWs and there has never been a time that the reporter would let the TO participate to my knowledge.

Yeah, an easy way around that is to get the LGS owner or something like that to technically become the T.O. You can still actually run the event, put in the wins/losses, stuff like that, but then you get to play as well if you want to.
