I have spent a day reviewing and considering who I am Nominating for the Hall of Fame. While there are many qualified people out there I am only allowed 5 votes.

In order they are.

Matt Hanson (knightswhosayni) -- Matt is undoubtedly one of the best players in Nebraska. Matt won the Nebraska Regional this year going through a tough field. He has finished 1 and the 2 in the first two Jedi Challenges. A great overall player and a great guy.

Matt Peterson -- Matt I a great guy. He runs our RPG on Vassel and anyone who can put up with me, Dean, Bill, Johnny, Brian, Rick, Philip, and Eric on a regular basis is a man with patience. And that is just when it come to the RPG. In actual minis he is an outstanding player. Bill has already posted Matt's record at GenCon and it is hard to argue with such an outstanding record.

Tim Ballard -- I might begin to sound like a broken record but Tim is also a great guy. I always look forward to seeing him and Deri when I play in Chicago. He is also a really good player. He managed to work his way through a tough Chicago Regional including 4 Hall of Famers, 3 people who had already won regionals (that includes Racine) and an all around tough field including Matt and Johnny. Tim is truly a good player.

Chuck Chauvin -- I could write "Chuck Bugers", leave it at that and he would be worthy of a nomination. I was most impressed that Chuck doesn't ever play in the tournaments in Atlanta. Why is this impressive? Because he has to T.O. down there and can't play. He is probably the nicest guy I know (well, one of) as he welcomed Lou and I into his home last May. He is a well deserving choice.

Kecsler -- I really struggled to decide where my fifth vote would go. After alot of debate I decided Micheal would get the final of my 5 votes. I have argued with him many times online have learned alot by doing so. One of the best parts of our community is well we all get along in person and Micheal was no different. Meeting him at GenCon this year was quite fun and made it well worth the trip. While I don't know much about his play he is truly an ambassador to the game and well deserving of this honor.

chris west- maps of course

jonnyb815- helping me with skype and making me feel welcome in Illinois. Getting me to meet some of the best of people from all over the SWminis universe.

Chabelo Jedi Hunter- making night games for the owls a lot of fun on vassal

Jake Schuler- Jake has been probably the best guy from the olivet group so far. Which is hard to do since the whole group is great.

The Celestial Warrior- What can I say this guy is just a great guy and hero in my book.

There are so many I want to nominate but this is the top of my list

WOW! Thanks, Matt, I really appreciate that! I'd have to say, though, my contributions this year have been rather limited.

Here are my nominations, take in count that im nominating on my experience in Vassal, cause i only play there :D

Fool: Cause of all his hard work on GVL, that is now the 4th season and is really a hard work to keep this going :D, also is a great fun guy but is masoquist  :D

Ruhk: Cause he also helps Fool with all the hard work and is a nice player that has the fun friendly spirit of the GVL :D

This may be a strange nomination and dont know if count (Please tell me so i can change it) and the nomination is for all Team Sarlacc, cause is the best team in GVL, cause they have reunions and act like a real Team, great, fun and friendly players, with opinions and proposes, even if they win or lose games :D

Gurneywars: Old Master Gurney is a real Jedi Master that had like 4 Padawans (At least those are the ones i saw), cause he always help noobs to learn how to play SWMs or how to play in Vassal step by step. Also for his cool SWM game variants ideas like SWM football, Master and Aprentice, and the sealed Tile war game and he is always participating on discussions on wizards and swmgamers page :D

Empirejeff: He is always testing and playing in everything like GVL, GVF, GFC, GMT and always inviting people to join this, also he is the best SWM C.E master and is the creator of our swmgamers fantasy football league :D

Friends,

I hope everyone is well. For those who know me, much respect to my friends. I have not have been very busy since Gen Con, but I still LOVE the game. I have a list a mile long of customs to make and can’t wait to find the time.

So time to get to it...I have put alot of time and thought into my 5 nominations, it was a very hard decision due to the number of great people in the game.

1.James W. - This one should be obvious...Great friend, ambassador for the game, helps the Olivet College Star Wars Miniatures Club, helps run the games in Lansing at Evo Games, constantly helps me become a better player by questioning ideas and squads, AND 2 time Regional Champion.

2. Chuck C. - A W E S O M E G U Y ! ! ! I was unable to go to the Atlanta Regional, but I REALLY wish I had. James and Lou had nothing but GREAT things to say about Chuck and his crew. Chuck does an outstanding job helping his crew with the game and teaching others. It is very, very rare that someone or something is as good as what James and Lou say, but I am very happy to say that he is the REAL DEAL. A good person, who does whatever he can to help grow the game and teach others.

3. Matt H. - Being a Kansas State Graduate, this is very hard for me to do...But Matt is also just a great guy with a great attitude, as are the other guys from Nebraska. I admire how consistent he is in the Jedi Challenge. I can only wish to have my game at that level some day.

4. Darth Ted – Most might not know him. Ted is a great guy out of Chicago who has always helped me and my crew in Michigan. He plays for fun and the enjoyment of the game.

5.Cathy G. – Read this story…if you cant support her and her crew by nominating her, you have no heart. The heart that she shows for her son, star wars, and the game is something that we all could take notes on. We all could learn from her and her story.

Well, friends that’s my 2 cents…and Dean can still suck it!!! HA HA HA!!! (ment with much love and respect)

Omnus (Charles Arrasmith) -- almost single-handedly started the entire Seattle group, great player, who won the WA regional, besting 38 other players, many of whom started playing because of him, and had a OMW% of 75% (ran into 4 5-1s, 1 4-2), and when all was said and done, handed his GenCon pass over to Shinja. One of the major influences (along with one of the LGS employees and Shinja) in creating one of the biggest SWM playgroups in the country.

Alright, updated once again. Thank you to everyone putting in your ideas for this next class! We have already surpassed the amount of nominations from last time, and we still have almost two weeks to go! Wonderful job!

1. Klecser: Great representative of the SWM community

2. Jason Bell: Organizer of the Team tourney at Gencon

3. Thereisnotry: Great competitor

4. Shinja: Bloomilk

5. Chuck Chauvin (Nivuahc):

Well, Chuck earned unofficial "Hall of Fame" status in the eyes of the Atlanta crew a long time ago. Here's a list of his contributions to the community:

Leader of the Atlanta Star Wars Gaming group: In less than a year, Chuck has established a sizable star wars gaming group in Atlanta. We have weekly tourney's, and over 35 members on our facebook page. We sent 5 members to Gencon. We even have our own website...

Atlantaswg.com. It's a sleek and stylish website with plenty of articles from the well-known experts of Star Wars Minis. It also posts local events and updates.

Atlanta Regional: Chuck brought a regional event to Atlanta with over 20 participants.

Dragon-con 2009: The previous year there was ZERO star wars minis at Dragon-con. This year there was SWM tourneys from sun up to sun down with tons of prize support thanks to Chuck.

Galaxy at War Vs. MS Fundraiser: Chuck organized this event to gather funds for the national multiple sclerosis society.

Chuck's a decent guy with a knack for making friends. He would be an awesome representative of the "SWM Hall of Fame".

I also nominate Shinja for bloomilk!

Remeber, you MUST nominate 5 total. Only nominating 2 will mean that they won't count at all! So, please go back and add 3 more nominations. ;)
