Ok I have been working on this idea.

Obi-wan Kenobi Jedi General 66pts.
Admiral Yularen 21 pts.
3x 501st Clone Troopers 39pts.
Elite Clone Trooper Commander 15pts.
2X Uggs 6pts.
Mouse driod 3pts.

150pts.

Ok basically the idea is pretty simple. Flobi gives the Clone tripple attack and the Commander gives them a 18 Def. This should make them alittle more survivable on the battle field. With cover they will have a 22 max so not bad. Just wish I could get one more in here but not going to happen. All in all about 9 activation some door control and the mouse doing what mouse droids do best. So what you think? oh and Yularen with his Recon and Opp +10 is a big help too.

I think I would take out the captain for one more 501st. I also don't think I would bother with Yularin in a squad using Flobi where you are unlikely to outactivate. It can work ok, but you might simply be better including an ARF for recon, and getting more out of his points.

Ok. Heres what I got. Let me know what you think.

Flobi 66pts.
4x 501st Clone Troopers 52pts.
ARF Trooper 11pts.
R7 Astromech Droid 8 pts. (or Doombot don't know yet)
2xMouse Droids 6pts.
2xUggs 6pts.
Total 149pts. 11 activations.

So the Clones defence is at 14 but with cover it shouldn't be to bad. ARF has the Recon. There is also the triple attacking Clones that will hit more now with a 12 attack. Might drop the ARF for something else don't yet. I think I call this Squad High and Tight.

definitely include R2 in there. Tow is the best republic-only asset they have.

Well ya he is but The R7 has the defence against ion gun. I will of course try it both ways of course. I was also wondering if there was anything this squad needed to work?

You should never forgo tow for ion shielding. The mobility R2 offers is much more valuable in terms of competitive play. If you don't have an R2, or don't want to use it for some other reason, that's all well and good. But from a purely competitive perspective, R2 is a much better choice.

With the group I play with you never know. Most of them don't build there squads until they get there just before game starts. So 50 jawas could happen.

I'm not sure how it will work, but if you squeeze Capt Rex in then you have 501st Troopers with GMA, plus a pretty strong shooter.
