This is something that just came about while I was playing around with some stats ideas last week and I thought if I were to design a set right now, what would it look like? What would the theme be? What faction representation would it have? So I plugged away at it for a few days and realized just how hard it must be for Rob % Co (TM) to do this on a regular basis AND with LFL sitting on their shoulder.

Anyway, here is what I came up with:

OLD REPUBLIC
1. Carth Onasi, Old Republic Hero VR
2. Celeste Morne, Jedi R
3. Dantooine Militia C
4. Old Republic Ensign C
5. Old Republic Jedi Master UC

SITH

7. Darth Zannah R
8. Marka Ragnos VR
9. Sith Blademaster UC
10. Sith Imperial Stormtrooper C

REPUBLIC
11. Clone Sniper Specialist C
12. High General Plo Koon R
13. Mace Windu, Vaapad Master R

SEPARATIST
14. Battle Droid with Rocket Launcher C
15. Count Dooku, Separatist Leader VR
16. Darth Maul, Shadow R
17. Super Battle Droid with Rocket Launcher UC

REBELS
18. General Han Solo R
19. General Luke Skywalker R
20. Rebel Infiltrator UC

IMPERIALS
21. 501st Stormtrooper UC
22. Bastion Stormtrooper C
23. Darth Vader, Last of the Sith VR
24. Imperial Spy Droid C

NEW REPUBLIC
25. Ganner Rhysode VR
26. Jaina Solo, Sword of the Jedi VR
27. Yuuzhan Vong Hunter Droid UC

FRINGE
28. Aing-Tii Warrior UC
29. Baran Do Sage UC
30. Fallanassi Adept UC
31. HK-47, Destroyer of Meatbags VR
32. Implant Dealer UC
33. Veteran Ewok Warrior C
34. Ysalamiri Lizard C

MANDALORIAN
35. Mandalore the Preserver R
36. Mandalorian Sniper Specialist C
37. Mandalorian Strike Leader UC

YUUZHAN VONG
38. Shamed One C
39. Yuuzhan Vong Intendant UC
40. Yuuzhan Vong Voxyn UC

Stats to follow!

Well, the Hk would need a higher base attack and damage, 8 and 20 are not enough for HK with a disruptor

I really like a lot of these, very good balance on most! Two things:

1. Maybe an ability for the Intendant that also relays SAs? Too many Vong boosts are SAs and not CEs, so they need that.
2. The Voxyn I have to picky about, since I love them so much. I'd do something like this, removing 20 HP and Reach 2 to keep it at 39 points.

40. Yuuzhan Vong Voxyn 39 Points UC

If I do that, the cost would have to go up significantly I think, as this would double the range of thudbug, razor bug, spit poison, etc.

....with Cunning, Jedi hunter and BH +2, he can have up to +18 attack at 40 damage. With Ambush, he can run 12 and double cunning AT LEAST. If it's a unique force user, he can run 12, attack with +18 for 40 damage twice. Seems pretty good to me.

If I do that, the cost would have to go up significantly I think, as this would double the range of thudbug, razor bug, spit poison, etc.

D'oh! I never thought about that.

I gave it a shot anyway, let me know what you think!

I actually really enjoyed alot of the set, as I think it does justice for some of the characters previously needing a overhaul and adds a good bit of nifty character abilities and the like. One thing though... All these awesome force users and then you throw in the ysalamari lizard.... XD Spells the death of the force as we know it. Lol.

Yeah man, the Voxyn looks totally great. Aggressively-priced at 39, but not out of control, especially with an 8 attack.

The Intendant is a fanboy's dream come true. I like the costing, and Villip is aptly named. Making Thuds, Razors, and Spit Poison 12 squares is a godsend, and would immediately make the Vong a tier 1 faction I think. I really like it, but I wonder if anyone else can chime in on whether it is TOO powerful or not. I think not.

Hmmmmm... good point on the Ysalamiri. I figured Speed 2 would be enough of a penalty, but I'm thinking the cost needs to go up to like 25 or so.

They are very small...you could keep the cost down and just give them 10 HP if you wanted.
