I think this is the right place to ask this question, as it is addressing which maps are DCI legal. I have looked through the list on the DCI rules, but there are a few that I can't match to the name given there - whether this is me being stupid or what I can't tell. As all of my SWM maps were obtained second hand I am not sure which came fromm which starters etc, so I was hoping that people could tell me which are DCI legal. To make it easier, I have listed the ones I have, with their names on Vassal.

Death Star map (Tractor Beam Reactor Coupling??)
Muunilist Grand Plaza (Grand Plaza??)
Starship (Power Regulation Chamber??)

These are the ones confusing me - I think I'm right in saying that they are right, but I thought I'd make sure.

Merci mes amis.

As a note, the reason some of the DCI names are unusual is because they must actually appear somewhere on the map, and be unique to that map so you can clarify that it's really one that's DCI legal with no information but the DCI Floor Rules and the map itself.

So you get oddities like the map everyone calls Death Star being named Tractor Beam Reactor Coupling because "Death Star" doesn't appear anywhere on it.

This, incidentally, is why we've been giving map titles right on the map for some time now. I can't remember when that started, but I also don't know why no one thought to do so sooner...

You don't name them? You designed them. or have you always neamed them and WOTC just only recently started marking the names onto the maps?

I title every project I work on, but WotC designed the vast majority of maps in-house, and simply hired me to make them look pretty. It wasn't until the last couple of years that they started letting me submit sketches of my own map layouts for their consideration. It was around the same time--maybe a little earlier--that we started adding titles right on the maps. I can't honestly remember for sure if I started that trend on my own, or if they asked me to put titles onto the maps themselves. I remember reading about the names people were using to refer to the posters (in the absence of formal titles) and thinking that we needed to give them proper names, but I couldn't tell you exactly when I started doing it or if I was ever specifically asked to do so.
