There are some FU minis on e bay as a presell.
Has anyone here ever brought minis this way? and if so did they get the minis? was there ever a problem getting them if it was a VR like Boba.
thank for any advise in this matter.

I have and had no problem. Just treat it like any other auction (check feedback, etc.).

You can sometimes get really good deals taking a risk on buying figures without knowing the stats, (or get really screwed if they turn out bad). I've had both happen to me.

My favorite is checking for Ebay listings for a figure as soon as its stats are released - sometimes the person posting doesn't realize how good the card is yet.

However, lately I have seen higher starting prices on most figures on Ebay, so probably not as good a deal as in the past.

Hope that helps,

Mez

Thanks that helps
I try to get 1 of every figure so stats are not an issue for me.
With BH i still need the Skiff, but did have an opportunity to get it as a presale but didn't in the end. This guy has the rancor for £20 its probably going to be the one i do not get in my cases. But if i did it one i could trade if i got the presale one. But as this is going to be a very hard find i am not sure the guy can sell one. how can he know he will have one to sell.

I once bought a presell for SSB. The guy took my money and ran.

He's feedback is quite good 99.7% with over 10290 feedbacks.
he's user name is buckslayer37. if anyone has traded with him as a presale it would help.

I've never done a presell auction for singles, but I've done it for cases.

I've gotten piss poor service on pre-sales for cases/sets before. I've never tried singles though. I can't control myself with just a few select minis at a time. I need bulk!!!

Well i have gone ahead and had it. I will let you know if & when i get it and how long after the set comes out it gets to me.
Who know maybe when the next set comes out some of you mite be interested in do something like it.
I was very tempted at getting Boba as well but as i am getting 2 cases i will have to just try my luck with this one.
I will probably be the only one to cry if i end up getting any of the Luke's or Han's.

Buckslayer37 is someone I have bought on Ebay from in the past. Great seller. For CoTF I pre-bought so many Banes from him on Ebay that he couldn't pull enough to fill all my orders. But we worked it out - he refunded my money (the most expensive one I bought). Other than that - totally smooth sailing with him.

I've done pre-sells from time to time in the past and they've always turned out just fine.

The only difference I've found vs a normal eBay sale is that sometimes you have to be patient. For Bounty Hunters, for example, it took one seller about a month, month and a half to fill some of the Rs and VRs. He kept in contact, though, and sent me minis to me as he pulled them. Ultimately, I think he wound up losing money because he paid for most of the shipping out of pocket!

Thanks gwek
that helps reassure me. I have had the rancor now so i cannot really change my mind. But comments like yours are very reassuring. Hopefully i will not have to wait as long as you did but as long as he keeps in contact it will be OK.

I will post here to let you all know how it turns out if anyone cares that is.

A guy like this (such a high rating, so many sales) is going to know his business. I don't think we'll have to wait that long... I say "we" because I got Carbonite Han and Luke's Snowspeeder from him!

Cool. :)
I was very tempted at Boba as well but thought well that's 2 boxes i could have instead. But i did have Juno as well because that's one character i wont 2 off anyway, to do a custom for my rpg character.

I got Carbonite Han for 9.99 and Luke's Snowspeeder for 8.99.

I've pre-ordered cases from CSI, but I need a few extra for trades, so those seemed like pretty good prices.

Oh not complaining about condition, they were all OK. A bit annoyed about the time it took to send also i paid for individual P+P in case he did not get them all. Well he waited until he had all the items and sent all together. So in effect he got $16 extra for P+P, also because he sent them together i had to pay import tax costs( well would have if the postman was more awake as there was import tax but he did not ask for it, must have been my lucky day). Also my friends who had same items of others not as a presale got there's two weeks before me.
