So with the advant of the Jedi Crusader and his affinity ability I have one question.

Can Malak and Squint now be placed onto hte same squad? Becasue If I'm not mistaken they're the same guy right?

What will be the deal with this?

It'll probably get corrected when the Jedi Academy errata/faq comes out in a couple years :D

(I believe it will be corrected so Squint counts a malak, and vice versa)

Hopefully sooner than that

I wouldn't hold my breath on that errata. Unless it gets released right away, we might not see it for a long time.

I hope not-
Initially I thought this is one is not quit as glaring an issue as say Doku vs Tyranus..
(though the revelation of Squint being Malak came at the same time as the set was released...)

I really see Squint as a TOTALLY Diffrent Person-

While there are plenty of Anakins(Skywalkers) out there- there has never been an issue as to which [other] ones need to be ammended to be counted as Vader...

at this point I say: LEAVE SQUINT ALONE!

Exactly Madman, no vader or anakin with one exception will ever cross paths in this game. Their will never be a republic vader, and I highly doubt we will see another Imperial Anakin.

Squint and Malak are very much the same person, just at different poitns in life. It'd be like fielding Han Galactic old guy with Han Rebel hero on the same team, same guy different stage of life.

Of course the argument could alwasy be made, "well people in the real world have copy cat names all the time, ask John Smith" but bringing realword logic in is never good. So I'll stop right there, and hope for either an errata or a mention itn the upcoming floor rules.

On a slightly related note: why was CotF Sidious given "Counts as Palpatine?"

Looks like there will be no errata at this time. I must say I am surprised. They are the same character. It's akin to letting Rebel Hero Han run around with Galactic Hero Han (via Jaina). And obviously that is not allowed. Not sure how this is any different. Oh well, I will be abusing that loophole. I have always liked Squint.

It's possible there will be an Errata, there's just nothing in the Mini-FAQ about the possibility of an Errata. I'm hoping for the Errata, but if not I'll definitely try it out ^_^

We'll see. I find it odd NickName would cover that in the FAQ only to be trumped by an errata.
