Wow, took me forever to find this section on gamers! I swear I looked for it the other day but I either didn't see it or I mistook it for something else.

Regarding my Cad Bane; All I can say is... it looks so much better in person

I spend a lot of time perusing the customs forum on WotC and have always wanted to take a shot at making a custom mini. I've had some Sculpey laying around for a while and, recently, a friend convinced me to take a crack at miniature painting. He came over to do some painting yesterday and I figured I'd make the leap.

I never imagined how difficult it is to work on such a small scale. I never realized how poor a presentation of a miniature a photo makes (I suppose our eyes make up the details that we think are there to an extent while a camera doesn't lie).

I also never realized how near impossible it is to keep Sculpey out of the hands of a 5 year old when you're trying to accomplish something. :P

Anyway, in case anyone is wondering, I used the Zabrack Fringer for the body and a Duros Merc for the head. Shaved off the sweater puppies, lopped off their heads, made everything out of sculpey, and went to town with the super glue. The entire thing took me about 5-6 hours to accomplish.

It's probably going to be a while before I try that again. :P.

I already thought you custom guys were aces but I have tons more respect for what you do, now that I've tried to do it myself.

Great job on the custom! I really like the trenchcoat and the details you added. The breathing apparatus looks superb too!

Don't stop now - let's see another custom!
