Man I just have been staring at the poster, it is so cool!!!
I am only disapointed with luke's snowspeeder. I must say, Vaders apprentice looks so cool. They look like ninjas. However: the redeemed apprentice is so much cooler.

And for those who were wondering about Maris being fringe, I have info from Lucasarts.com

"Shaak Ti was later able to escape Order 66, despite being in the Jedi Temple at the time of Darth Vader's attack. She fled Coruscant and traveled from world to world until finally landing on Felucia. Along the way, Shaak Ti found an orphaned Maris Brood and immediately sensed through the Force that Brood was a lost soul living on the edge of the dark side. Once on Felucia, Shaak Ti trained Maris Brood and the local Force-sensitive Felucians for an inevitable confrontation with the Dark Lord of the Sith."

Puts that rumor to rest.

Not really. Promo art has her with sith eyes, but green sabers, the action figure hasn't the sith eyes, but this one has red eyes and red sabers.

Is this another Vosa-style wild card??

Aren't the ones Grevious has green and blue because they're from jedi he killed?

OK how about this for Han
Han in Carbonate.
Can only be on a team that contains a character who's name contains Leia.

If A character named Leia gets an attack that is exactly 11 within 6 squares of Han in Carbonate, this character is replaced with immediate reserve of any other character that contain the name Han Solo.

OK you may never get an attack of 11 but if Han in Carbonate cost lets say 15 you can replace him with a 40+ character. Of course you will need to keep Leia within 6 squares of Han in Carbonate and protect her as well.

What do you think??

As for Maris and her red light sabers maybe that's the only coloer Cristal she could get after all the Empire is going to crack down on there availability. Or she took them of a dead dark Jedi. or Shaak Ti gave them to her as she took them from a dark jedi. Or she was a dark Jedi to begin with and after Shaak Ti turn her away from the dark side she just kept them.

At first i was going to say on a initiative roll of 11 instead of Leia making an attack but then it would not be Leia's character saving Han.

PREVIEW IS UP ON THE MAIN PAGE!!!

I started a separate thread for actual discussion of the piece (since this thread has been more about the general set). So, let's try to keep the discussion over there.

Click here to see Week #1 Preview.

I still can't get over how neat Kazdan Paratus looks. I am still a little worried, however, that this set will disappoint me as much as Bounty Hunters did when it comes to distribution. I will end up pulling all of the VRs I don't want, such as Han and Chewie of Hoth.

I have to stop being such a pessimist.

I have a question for the case buyers, specifically anyone who's bought a case of a huge set before (namely Universe or Bounty Hunters).

I'm tempted to buy a case of this set. Sorely tempted. I was wondering how many of each rarity figure do you pull from a case? Do you normally only find one rare or super-rare huge figure in a case or is it higher then that?

Thanks much to anyone who can offer some insight. :)

Keep in mind a case is only 6 boosters. I think its 4UC-1R-1VR on the huges.

Okay, I'm sold.

Thanks, Sithdragon13 (although I think my wallet might be unhappy with me right this moment).

In Universe this was not true. I bought 4 cases and 2 of them had 6UC for huges. One had 4UC and 2R. The last had 4UC, 1R, 1VR.

I believe they did better with BH, but I only bought 2 cases of that set and got 4UC, 1R, 1VR in each.

BTW, I got a poster from my LGS yesterday. It definitely got me excited for this set.

Okay, here's my theory on

Han Solo in Carbonite

Cost (20ish)
HP *
Att *
Def *

Captive: You give HSIC to your opponent to set up in their starting area, adjacent to one character. He remains part of your squad, but cannot be targeted, and cannot receive damage. If at the end of a round, you have a character adjacent to HSIC, and your opponent does not, you may place HSIC out of the game. At this point, you may place another character named Han Solo into play, whose cost is ** or less. Upon defeated, this characters cost is only that of HSIC.

Any ideas?

I think something like that will work out, but as mentioned before, I hope that rescuing Han has something to do with Leia or even Chewie, just to make it more iconic. At least a Rebel character. I don't want Boba Fett to be the one to get Solo out of Carbonite as he's going to be delivering Han to Jabba.

It might quite possibly by 5UC and 1 R with a possibility for 4UC, 1R, and 1R or VR. BH was clustered so you always got 2Rs, and then you either got 4 UCs or 3 UCs and 1 VR. But since there are only 2 Rs and 2 VRs in this set, I really doubt we'll see a distribution like BH. I think Sithdragon's suggestion is a possibility, but I think my suggestion is more likely.

I do have a FLGS, but they don't really stock much Star Wars stuff, nor do they run any tournaments for it. I do make an effort to get everything else I play from them though (I get my D&D Minis cases from them as well as my bricks of WizKids stuff).
