So with the new Errata they squashed the "R2 Towing YoBuck and AniSTAP for Galloping/Strafe". Those 2 abilities are now only on this character's turn, so it can't be done out of turn. It came just in time cause Levitate was making it frickin crazy! Wonder if that's why they chose to finally put it out now...

FYI: As Dean pointed out, Galloping's heading is missing in the Errata but NN confirmed that Galloping was to be included and he "made it official".

that would be incorrect only strafe had that happen.

Galloping still works the same way pre-errata...... check the thread for errata on wizos and here. Galoping did not get the treatment

Incorrect, the heading for Galloping was missing in the published Errata but NN confirmed that it was Errata'd in this post, and in other places saying it was a typo being left out.

A very interesting change, and it REALLY hurts Anakin on STAP, but I really don't see it knocking Yobuck too far down the chain. A lot of the power of Yobuck is still in being able to smash swarms to pieces and/or reach commanders quickly. I think Yobuck will still be a 'gatekeeper' that people will have to plan for, but less people will have to worry about getting hit twice by the gallop/strafe when R2 is involved.

As I discussed about this last week when we were debating it. In many many games with Yodabuck, the trick has been used maybe once or twice, and it was rarely a critical attack. I don't think it affects Yoda at all.

However, AniStap, I did like doing it. Again, not a critical piece to him, but it does hurt. However, its worth it to prevent the levitate ridiculousness that would have come otherwise for sure.

Can you imagine the amount of complaining about it there would have been if they'd made it apply to strafe and not GA?

Yes! That is why I am glad it was the only "clean" fix that they chose to go with! While I didn't think it was particularly essential to fix it, I was concerned with how Levitate would work with it, and am very glad we don't have to worry about explaining that one.

I'm confused on how levitate would change much of anything, I can't think of very many useful strafing pieces that Luke could levitate, admittedly I don't know who may have levitate in future sets.

Ewok on Hang Glider is the only one he'd be able to Levitate without outside help. If Kreia was in his squad, he has the potential to Levitate a betrayed Ani on STAP or Yobuck.

Then there is always Dream Team type squads, which would be CRAZY! But now we have no need to worry...

So no more double strafing slingshot lancers with Sidious. I'm a little sad to see it go, but only because I was guilty of abusing it. (though Sidious still allows for abuse in other ways).

In all seriousness, this ruling was the right thing to do.

You might want to read Pawn again. This ruling doesn't affect it at all :)

DOH! I don't even have to read it again, Bill. "Takes another turn." That's what I get for posting before I think.
