I was playtesting 100pt. squads this weekend with my wife and this one went undefeated in 5 games.

"Three Sabers"
General Kenobi [36]
Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Master [35]
Even Piell [29]
[100pts. 3 activations]

I just threw this together in a hurry, but it has a lot of options that make it do pretty well. I can't say I fully playtested it, but here are the squads it beat:

Bane, Twi'lek Bodyguard, Bespin, Ugnaught
Dooku, Mistryl x2
Han RH, Jaina, Talon, Twi'lek Bodyguard, Ugnaught x2
Vader JH, Storm Commando, Probe Droid
Corran Horn, Kyle Katarn, Vornskr, Ugnaught

Not all top tier squads, obviously. And notably, I didn't face Boba BH or JWMs, because I don't actually own any.

Anyway, my thoughts:
General Kenobi's CE is great, also Heal and Deflect can come in handy (especially with tons of Force from Force Spirit).

Anticipation is nice in 100 pts. where it often comes down to 1 or 2 crucial initiatives. With Master Speed and Kenobi's CE, Qui-Gon can move 20 squares in a turn--it doesn't take long to run down a Storm Commando camped on the other end of the board.

Piell with Force Spirit can stand up to Bane and Vader JH for a while. He gets to reroll his Block saves with Mettle. With a single Heal from Kenobi, it takes 3 hits from Bane to take him down.

Anyway, not saying its the best squad ever. But it certainly did better than I expected.

I like this acutally, I'm a big fan of Even Piell myself. I took down bane once with Even Piell/Qui gon JM and others, giving Piell the FP and MotF 2, bane only being able to attack twice means you have a decent shot of blocking both attacks and even if he gets one nasty hit you can atleast mettle a reroll so he'll be alive for a little longer.

Just playtested it vs. a Darth Vader CotF squad. The key weakness of the build seems to be that you need Even to live. The problem with keeping him alive is that he's rather weak until Qui-gon dies, so if he gets killed first you are in serious trouble. Other than that, alot of fun to play and performed better than I expected. Nice build.

man... this looks like a cool squad.
I like Even piell's mettle, with spirit he would be brutal.
Looks like its got good synergy. Try it against Boba BH and JWMs see how it will do.

I saw this same squad in my first round of the 100-point tournament at GenCon. I was a bit nervous when I saw it, but I ended up beating the squad quite soundly. I played JWMx3, Queen Amidala and R2.

My opponent said that he'd "just thrown the squad together," and that was obviously true because he made several mistakes in his play. I think it could have been a much tougher match if he'd practiced with those pieces. Of course, it helped that my Amidala was getting off some fantastic double attacks.

It would be interesting to play against this squad again with someone who'd actually practiced with it.

This does look like a fun squad to play; I'll be testing this one out shortly (in my top 5 builds to try)

I have tried a similiar squad only with Quinlan Vos, Infiltrator instead of Gen Ken. That way when Qui Gon dies, Even gets the force and he gets Momentum.
