Anyone want to guess what General Garm Bel Iblis stats will be like.

Also do you think Luke in Pilots uniform will be a commander and the new wedge a follower.

It seems a little odd that there are a possible 21 R/VR listed, especially when we haven't seen all the figs from the upcoming video game yet. I also seem to recall a post from one of the Wizos saying the R/VR count was going to back to normal after the A&E set.
Very odd indeed.

I also think Proxy will be there as well. He's the apprentice's droid
Maybe some will not be R/VR such as rebel on tauntaun. It's just that characters like these have been in the past.

Who's to say the Tauntaun will be R/VR? Universe had quite a few Large U.

The two Tauntaun's we had so far were. but that's not saying it will be in this set. There seems very little reason why unnamed character's are ever put in the R/VR category.
Why was the two RS speederbike's when the dark helon on speederbike was not. Or why was the storm commando a R in the last set.

It has everything to do with cost/difficulty of the sculpt generally (storm commando does not fit I know).

With that said, I fully expect the Tauntaun to be a rare as well.

I am not sure i believe that. I know it's been said by WOTC officially but still take a good look at some of the Cs like Separatist Commando. Much better an more difficult to make than the MSG who was a UC. There are far to many exceptions to this for me to believe that the difficulty of the sculpt make the differance. . Storm Commando is not really an exception.
I understand why unique are R/VR as you do not need more that one but unnamed characters.
OK i know you are just quoting the official WOTC response, i just cannot except it.

I don't know, I think being a Huge set allows them to spend a little bit more on the C/U. The two previous Tauntauns were both R/VR, true, but but they were Unique as well. Universe had two Larges in the U slots, and BH even had the U Swoop, which was an amazing sculpt. I think the only reason Stormcommando was in the R section was because of its stats, which is a factor.

And there is a very big factor in the MSG vs the Sep Commando. Clear plastic.

Why would a character stats make a difference? you will have to explain that one to me. As some C/UC have just as much writing on there cards.
Going by that the MSG would also have been a R.

Oh man, I'm a little disappointed with some of the selection. I thought Rob said that we were going to get figures for all the factions? Maybe he was talking about a different set? I thought it was supposed to be for this one.

Why are we getting another Heavy Stormtrooper? That'll make three different set appearances. Why not give us another Elite Stormtrooper sculpt?

However, if we're getting Luke's Snowspeeder and Wedge, Red 2, we're going to have a pretty cool Hoth selection to go with after this set. That'll be cool. Plus, a new Shaak Ti! It was expected, but still. :)

I fixed my post, you brought up the Sep Commando, and I pointed out the difference.

Because this is a collectable game, stats will have an affect on its rarity. Rob has mentioned it is a combination of stats & sculpt/paint difficulty that determines the rarity of a fig. Unique is autoamatically R/VR (thanks from bad experiences in D&D). Now, this isn't always the case, but it is certainly a factor.

Creating chase figures. Its the collectible aspect of the game. Gotta have some reason for people to keep buying right? No idea if they really think that, but I would assume its close to the truth. Good stats on a non-unique can drive sales. SC's are awesome.

I forgot to mention one other reason. Last minute changes and drops per LFL can also change the R/VR status.

I guess I expect the Tauntaun to be on par with the two we have already. Which would almost for sure make it a R/VR. But that's just me.

Another Heavy Stormtrooper???
Must have missed that.
Do the rest of you think the last one should have been a missile trooper? The figure was very nice it was just he's stats that let it down. A reprint i thought was very poor even more so as the RS Heavy Stormtrooper was in other miniature products

I have not seen that at all. I think he is mistaken.

Edit - he saw that on a completely unofficial list posted here from another site or something. I wouldnt put too much stock in that yet.

"SC's are awesome."
Well i gotta agree with that i really wont some more of them, it's one of my favorite Imps and was a major factor in me ending up buying some A&E in the end. So there is some truth in what you say about upping sales.

"he saw that on a completely unofficial list posted here from another site or something. I wouldnt put too much stock in that yet."

OK i can breath again.

Yeah, I think he saw the reference to Heavy Stormtroopers that will appear in the game. Not the ones we have now. Sort of an elite branch, I think.
