GVT 3.0: KOTOR Vassal Release Tourney

I'm in! I definitely enjoyed the LS/DS 2 squad format we used for the TFU tourney. If we stick to that, I think it should work out fine.

TK421 tried to expand that some and allow people to have 2 LS and 2 DS squads each, but I think that almost gets too complicated. I say, stick with 1 of each, and if the tourney goes well enough and people want to do another one, then we do a 2nd one, and THEN you can run your 2nd ideas for the squads.

(I did think that bracketmaker.com dealy that TK used was pretty cool though)

for me it depends because it has to be after aug 16 and it would be better on a weekend

Hey there,
I just want to make sure I understand the rules right before I send you my squads. I believe that I am supposed to send you two squads, one LS and one DS, at 150 points, with at least 100 points of each team from the KOTOR set. Does LS/DS mean that I can mix factions as long as they are factions from the same side, or does it mean that I need to obey faction rules and choose one faction from each side? Also, can I use Fringe for either?

I assume that the LS factions are:

Rebels, Republic, Old Republic, New Republic

And DS means:

Sith, Mandos (??), Empire, Vong

If you could let me know what I'm right or wrong about, I'd appreciate. Hope all is well with you.

Ah, that's actually the reason I hadn't sent my squads yet, was about to PM you with the same question ;o

I think it might be best to wait for the update - hopefully it won't be too far away, and it could get rather confusing if the majority of our pieces are stand-ins.

Well, I don't speak for everybody (or anybody for that matter), but I could care less if you make your own squads and play. Yes, yes you saw everyone else's squads. I don't care. You're not making a squad that can take on all the other player's teams anyway so knock yourself out. If you still feel that strongly about it make Lobo the judge and have him figure something out.
