Well, I brought korriban and a super stealth squad to GenCon in case there was an announcement.

It was:
SL Palpy
Sev x 3
Scorch
Bacura

The squad was to combat other Republic SS squads. Is it the best SS squad, nope, but I had one ready!

Boba BH
R2 Astro
CC Bacara
Sev x2
ECT
Bespin Guard x2
Ugnaught

This gives me 4 SS character and Boba who can deal with any Palps running around. In all honesty though I would play "Jango on a Rope".

When korriban goes legal, i will bring non-stop Exar until they quit bringing the map.

I don't think it will be too bad where I play. If it does get bad there I'll probably start bringing Sith Lord Palpy.

Clone Commander Bacara
Republic Commando - Boss X2
Republic Commando - Fixer
Republic Commando - Sev X4
Wicket
149 points.

I can get off a lot off attack with this squad, plus if any of the big melee things like Vader/Kun get close, they have less defense off Wicket, giving the Commando's a better chance.

Quinlan Vos, Infiltrator
Clone Commander Bacara
Republic Commando - Boss X3
Republic Commando - Fixer
Republic Commando - Sev X4
Ugnaught Demolitionist X2

200 pts.

I put Quinlan Vos in here for Recon and melee defense. I havn't got to try it yet, but I think it could do well. Get's off a lot off attacks through the bosses!

the Anti Korriban Exar build - version 1

Exar
RBSV
Lobot
DH Swoop
Ewok X 3
Ugo X 2
Gran Raider X3
Sly Moore

Bring in two swoops, or a bg for the rodian and a swoop depending on need. Keeps your swoops safe first shot, as well as sly.

Once again guys I was just being sarcastic..... I really dont need a squad just posted this kind of out of disappointment that Korriban may become legal.... but at this point who knows as September is over and no DCi Floor rules changes as of yet

you may have been sarcastic, but everyone probably thinks the thread is interesting, in fact I might try to come up with a good squad to play on korriban, but I can't think of any right now, but if I think of one later I'll just edit the post.

I think that a republic SS/boba BH squad is the best build for that map. Boba can take out depa, akbar or disruptive characters, and the clones provide good shooter support.

hey maybe my old G&G squad will make it back into the meta scene again.....

if anyone cannot remember it was

Yoda CS
Boba BH
R2 Doombot
Bacara
Fixer
and then a butt load of elite clones...

yes I must claim that I was one of the first to use the crap out of ECT's and I remember once talking Billiv15 into the value of double door control way back in the day..... as I remember it was not the biggest idea at the time... after outlining my reason as to why though I think Bill loved the concept

man, your so lucky to get a bunch of elite clones. Anyways, I like the G&G squad.

I think the old Imperial SS would do good, for those who don't know what it is:
Thrawn 37
Mas 8
Palpy 62
Bacara 32
Sev x3 48
2x Stormy and ug 13
200

Or add the elite clone for the last 13 and a total of 198.

This squad should beat Depa SS, because the bubble negates the force sense. For those stupid enough to only bring clones, Palpy makes the game an auto win.
I don't know how it stacks up against Nom or any hate squads, but it should do okay.

My real question is the map legal for 150 or 200?

Are elite clones still as scarce as the ARC trooper? Koriban was supposed to be changed too. I bought that starter expecting some big ol walls to make the map a bit more fair to melee. Boooooooooo

Probably. I lost an ebay auction for 4 of them earlier tonight. I had the high bid the whole week right up until just before it ended.

I honestly think that anybody running Mas or R2 on Korriban is asking to lose them on the first turn. If I win initiative, I would gladly combine fire with 1 or 2 characters to ensure that either Mas or R2 goes down right away.

I think the Palpy/RepSS squads stand a small chance, but I still think that a Vong & Boba BH squad would be your best bet. Vong bombs are cheap. There is tons of cover in the middle of the map, so you can camp around the gambit zone and force the opponent to come after you. They can't be negated by Force Sense. And Boba is going to shot at by 2 characters, max, and only if you lose the first Init. Just start him near one of the sides, and then for the rest of the game, you just Mobile Attack back and forth into the alcoves, and pick off whatever you need to.
