I just want to confirm that I ruled correctly.

I had Jar Jar and a Shieldbearer. My opponent had Mando Fett.

Please confirm or correct my line of thinking...

1. Fett targets Jar Jar with Missiles.

2. Bombad has a "targeting" trigger, so I have to make the Bombad save. Save is 11+, so the target now changes.

3. Fett is more than 6 squares away, so I select the adjacent Shieldbearer.

4. The Shieldbearer's Energy Shield says "when hit by an attack..." Missiles isn't an attack, thus Energy Shield wouldn't come into play.

5. The Shieldbearer rolls for the Missiles save as normal, as does the adjacent Jar Jar.

Essentially, in this situation, there's no way for Fett to take damage from his own missiles, right?

You are correct. When we read Energy Shield in the Archives it specifically states that only an Attack can be redirected back.
