Well....stupid work filter has added the forums.gleemax.com domain to their list of blocked sites apparently. I was gone for a work trip Tuesday and Wednesday, and when I came back in this morning....no more WotC forums for me. :( Though, I don't know if it was a product of me being on there too much, or if it was generally flagged as a "Games" site. Either way, this'll mean a lot less time for me on the WotC forums. :(

Not that I posted a whole lot there, but it was my link to any official announcements.

So...that said....somebody around here is going to have to catch up the slack for me and be sure to report any info/spoilers/previews/etc so I can at least stay in the loop with what's going on. Also, because the domain for the forums, and the main WotC site is blocked, I can't see linked pictures either. So, if people would be so kind as to save off pictures of previews, etc. to their own photobucket or something, and then link up here, that'd be great. 'Kay? ;) </office space boss voice>

Hey Lobo,

you wouldn't happen to work for General Motors, would you?

I know first hand they recently blocked gleemax.

LOL, no, but I work for General Electric. Close enough for coincidence?

I know a while back they blocked the boards1.wizards.com domain, and then unblocked it shortly later, so I have no idea whether it's gone for good or not. We'll see.

Wonder if your Torrent gas cap problem is what happened with my wife's Saturn....gas cap mysteriously loosened itself one day. Haven't had it happen again since though.

weak.

Did you get to see the little 15 second video commercial for SWM?

If starwars.com isn't blocked you can check it out. Or if HOLOCRON isn't blocked you can see the stills. And if both are blocked, I can copy them over here.

You tried getting around your work filters, or is that too risky? Something like Privoxy...

Nah....not going to risk my job by trying to go around the filters. I'm sure in a company as big as GE, they have good enough IT people to catch someone using a Proxy. Probably shouldn't be surfing the net much in the first place, so.... :P

I can still get to The Holocron. Though, those still shots really aren't any different than the pic on the WotC homepage. But, at least the 'Force Unleashed" text is moved enough to tell that it really is Maris on that left side. Definitely some sort of giant walker on the left side behind Maris too. Although at this point it looks more like a Mechwarrior, lol.

Work filters are a pain. I'm an IT Admininstrator and I still don't have the access to change our works Internet filter and so many games sites are blocked.

Hope your work changes their mind about it, or maybe when the gleemax upgrades in October you'll be able to access.

Ah. I have more experience than I'd like to recount getting around school and library filters, but thankfully--my job has no filters :)

No work filters over here and the last time our CEO talked about it he said he'd be very unhappy to begin blocking things. Things is good. :)

do you have to monitor yourself too or does someone else in your dept keep track of others?
