Been messing around with ideas for 100 point squads today, as we're doing 100 at ACME tonight, and I think it's the first time we've played 100 points since LOTF came out.

I've thought about going with some sort of Vong JH swarm like this:

YVJH x3
Shaper
Wicket
Ugo x2
Caamasi

Slaughters Jedi based squads. Has a bit of trouble against the likes of Boba BH though, as the JH's +9 Attack means they miss 50% of shots. Obviously, Wicket helps with this, but probably only for one set of attacks.

Also thought about running the old faithful SAK

Thrawn/Mas
Storm Commando x2
Raxus PT
Grand Moff Tarkin
(or sub Mas, RPT, GMT for Nyna and Gran x3)

Can still be quite good, but suffers against NTMTO and General Dodonna. Thrawn's bubble makes Force Sense a moot point, so that's some added protection.

I stumbled across this build that I think is quite versatile, and looks like it could be fun:

Luke, LOTLS
Shaak Ti, JM
Wicket
Ugo x2

Luke is a great mid-range shooter and Shaak can defintiely handle her own against the likes of Bane or JWMs. Will have trouble against big shooters or Vong JHs.

Here's an update to Broken Boba (Cade) that I considered:

Cade Skywalker
JWM
R2 Doombot
Ugo

2x damage output from Cade as opposed to Boba (not counting Disintegration, obviously) but lacks Accurate Shot, which could really make a big difference. Will really be slaughtered by Vong JH swarms if you can't kill them on the approach.

And sort of a San Hill variant:

Han GH
Lobot
General Dodonna
Wicket
Ugo x2

Likely reinforcements would be Lando DS, giving optimal damage of 90 per round. Getting a favored map with lots of open space would be key. Could also use Aqualish Assassins for Reinforcements.

Finally, something I saw someone else post, looks like a blast to play, and frankly, probably quite scary for most opponents.

Han ST
Ithorian Commander
General Dodonna
Aqualish Assassin x7
Ugo x2

LOL....THANKS! A lot.....seriously. :P

No, didn't include a Mando build because it's just so tough to pull off at 100 points. The best I've seen so far is Boba Merc Commander, 2 Gunslingers, and Ugos. It's not bad, and can dish out 140 dmg a round in the best situation, but relies on Cunning Attack for all that damage. I just don't think it will hold up against other top squads, especially on any maps that are closer quarters (Bespin, Ravaged Base, etc.).

There was a 100 pt at my LGS last week, I was out of town but had I gone I was going to play the vong JH squad.

I like the looks of the Luke/Shaak squad, but I think Vong will just be too easy to pull off at 100 pts, to justify playing this squad.

Broken Boba is a classic, and would crank out some good damage, but I wouldnt play it just because I like variety, but it is without a doubt solid.

I am not really a fan of the Han GH build, I think it is the least favorite of the ones you listed. I think that you would have the hardest time winning with this squad. The only real advantage is you wouldnt fall prey to the vong JH which should be played.

This is my second fave squad you posted. The AA's are a blast to play. However I think that you would have better luck with the vong.

....play the vong

Except that you can't mix Han GH with Luke HPU and any decent version of Leia.

I went with the Vong. :D I'll post a tourney report up later today. ;)

Well, I probably only set the poll to be open for a couple of days originally. So you can't vote now. Feel free to leave any comments you want though.

Oh. Well in that case, I think Shaak and Luke would be my first choice, but going up against these squads, I'd go with the Aquaishes.
