I'm trying to create a squad using Boba BH and the Bothan Noble but so far I haven't really grasped a good one yet.

So you have 71 points to work on. The Bothan Noble is a little fragile with 30 HP and 15 Def along with the CE restriction, at least Boba can sit away from LoS for most the turn until he needs to.

I was thinking of trying something that's never worked before: Dominate. So add in Sly Moore for 28 pointsto Dominate the Bothan Noble to heal Boba and then he grants his CE to Boba again (so basically Boba can attack 3 times). That would work, right? I've never tried Dominate before so I'm a tad iffy on it...

Next you need someone to take the heat off Boba, and I'm thinking either Lando DS or Jariah Syn. While Lando might last longer with Mobile Evade, Jariah can dish out 40 in a turn when targeting an unactivated Jedi. He is a tad fragile though, so it might actually be better to go with Lando DS here.

So now you've either got 19 or 25 points remaining of filler activations. So obviously I need some help here, lol. I don't think this is a compact squad at all, especially with the Bothan so fragile...

Bothan + Boba is definitely a good combo though. Dominate being only a 50/50 chance always bites me in the butt though. That's one time where I actually can't FAIL a save. It's ridiculous, lol.

I think maybe you're getting 'Dominate' and 'Pawn of the Dark Side' mixed up.

Dominate doesn't do damage to Boba, there is a save, and you can also do it to an enemy character.

Pawn only lets you do it to a non-unique ally, it does 10 damage at the end the turn, but there is no save.

Good idea nonetheless. And if you knew what you were talking about, then sorry, my bad

The idea should be obvious. Out-activate your opponent and then after they've finished moving, put Boba in position for 8 shots. At 200, you can add Luke, Hero of Yavin and Lobot (reducing the number of Ugnaughts, of course; but with Lobot you can bring in an MTB).

@ mrmikedrum > I'm not confusing Dominate with PotDS. If you look carefully, I never said anything about Boba getting damage just that the Bothan can Heal him. Thanks for checking though =o)

@ Boris > Only worry I have there is your squad is basically Boba. Once your opponent comes after you with suicide runners that take out the Bothans/Dodonna you're left with just Boba (cause if I was playing against this squad, I'd risk all the AoO from the Ugs just to base them). If you face a Melee squad it might get nasty, especially if any have Lightsaber Assault. I know the main thing would be to hide everyone so your opponent can't get easy LoS, but I'm one of those who misses one small thing that proves to be a large problem. Don't get me wrong, its a great squad idea! Its just based around 1 figure only and those worry me =o/

That's why it's better at 200.

Han Stormtrooper really helps Boba run away/charge 12 and still attack.

@ R5Don4 > Usually I prefer to keep Boba away from everyone. He tends to last much longer when he's not in the heat of battle and instead cooling in the back with a nice water and biding his time...

When your squad is built around one mini they tend to have to get positioned within LOS to get the most out the muliple attacks.

Boba can only do 40 per attack, with the 5% chance of Disintgration. You've really got to make the most of it and not miss any opportunities to lay on the damage.
