Or the Emperor could know everything about the not so secret apprentice and is instead just watching to see if maybe the apprentice would be powerful enough to take Vader's spot as his own apprentice. Kind of like how he wanted Luke to on the Second Death Star.

So much speculation, but all will be explained once the video game is out!

I agree; this guy would have to stay in uncharted space to prevent Palps from feeling the disturbance in the force. It's just unrealistic. I will however have fun throwing storm troopers into giant wooden beams to test the physics engine.

They'll probably be some kind of twist at the end of the game. Turns out the secret apprentice is really Sha'a Gi from the clone wars cartoon, you know the one that grevious steps on and kills during the battle on Hyproi. Just he doesn't die... he gets pissed and turns to the darkside.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Shaggy anyone can see this one coming a mile away..

When I heard WOTC were releasing a set heavily based on a video game I could have curled into a ball and died. Why oh why? Give us proper Star Wars characters I thought.

Eventually I decided to take a peek at the trailer. Not bad. Then I thought heck, why am I griping at Star Wars? I love Star Wars. SW-RPG & SWM are my favourite hobbies. So I've now changed my mind. I intend to embrace Force Unleashed as much as I can. I'm planning on buying the game and just hoping not to be let down by all the hype.

Force Unleashed... bring it on! 8)

We will see, but I think that maybe the force powers will be weakened a bit in the novelization.

And Don't forget it was the emperor himself who hid amongst the jedi. Maybe he is able to do that as well.

You have to remember that vader is the chosen one. The only one who can kill the emporer should have no problem hiding an apprentice from him.

Wasn't Dooku secretly training apprentices, too? (Sora Bulq and Asajj Ventress). I haven't read all the comics story lines on these - going from memory of summaries. Although they were not completely hidden, I think he was hiding his intentions to train them. I don't see why Vader could not do the same thing.

I think part of the uber-powerful characters are to make up for the bit of a let down in the movies. During the height of Jedi power, we don't really see them doing great Force-things. Story line needs to be stretched a bit to accommodate these actions.

Can't wait to see how it all translates into minis stats though.
