Hello All,

Last night after playing at my LGS I bought a booster of FU. I pulled a Han Solo of Hoth, and started thinking, "This guy doesn't see that much play!" [in my area]

So I started thinking what are some good uses for him?

Cost: 33 (kinda high)
Attack: 8 (meh)
HP: 80 (ok)
Def: 18 (decent)
Damage: 20

Cunning Attack, Double Attack, Evade

The cunning is give a nice little boost to his attack of 8, and the extra damage is always nice. Evade is good, I personally like characters with evade. Let them move into position and try to stay alive longer against shooters while trying to pull off the cunning double attack.

So does anyone use this Han??? If not I think it is because there are so many other good Hans.

Rouge Han is good right now to slow down the MTB and other forms of innitiative control. And he is cheaper to boot.

Han in ST armor is a beast. 8 points cheaper but you get some cool special abilites and one extra point on the defense.

Anyway what do you think??? Is he just not used because there are so many other good Hans, or do you use him???

If you do use him, in how many point games???

Thanks, and if this has been discussed somewhere else I am sorry....slow day at work :)

Best way to use him is to combine him with Garm and Leia, Senator. Psuedo Greater Mobile is always fun.

I don't have a problem with his Accurate Shot. Though, he is more of fun piece, as you cannot fight the benefits Stormtrooper, RH, or Rogue bring to the table.

It's RoGUe!! Han does not wear make-up! :P

Anyways....yeah, I think for me his lack of Accurate Shot is the real killer. Like Sithborg said, with Garm and Leia Senator he isn't too bad, but that's another 58 points just to make him semi-useable. I haven't played him personally yet though, although I don't play Rebels much period.

Yeah, he's just to inferior compared with what the META Han Turret, ST and Rogue bring to the table. For the reasons given above.

hehe I even know better.

I think I will build a squad using him. But I dont think I would take it to a DCI event.

I would love to put him to use instead of just trading him away!!!

Probably the only time I would play Han of Hoth is in the Battle of Hoth scenario.

Well he has a use and again he seems like a Boba JR....

Double with cunning just not quite as good but the cost is less...

Kind of reminds me of Boba BH to Han Scoundrel

so maybe in the next couple of sets there will be a commmander effect like Princess Leia did for Scoundrel or like Obi Wan FS did for him that will make him even better

He is similar to Boba Merc. However Han of Hoth doesn't have accurate while both Han Scoundrel and Boba BH do have accurate. But it is possible that Han of Hoth could get a good boost in the future.

The fact that he is missing accurate shot just nerfs him for me.

I once thought that Han of Hoth was the second worst han printed.

After playing him, I'm not so sure. He very well could be the worst han printed.

Han Solo (RS) 28 points

Hit Points: 80
Defense: 17
Attack: +8
Damage: 20
Accurate, Cunning, FP1

HS of Hoth 33 points
Hit Points: 80
Defense: 18
Attack: +8
Damage: 20
Cunning, Double, Evade

Former contender, but now clearly not the worst due to the init meta:

Han Solo, Rogue 30 points
Hit Points: 70
Defense: 16
Attack: +7
Damage: 20
Cunning, Accurate, Evade

Every time I roll with HS of Hoth, he feels like a nerfed Han Solo from RS. YUK!

Ditto. I pulled him in my first FU booster as well and I was simply disgusted. No FP, so if you want to help him get re-rolls and such you gotta use YoD.
This Han reminds me of Calo Nord, except you can make Calo a thorn in the side of your opponent with either Master Kota (+3/+3), or Yoda CS (made 4 avoid defeats in a row, my opponent was cursing to the heavens.)

Exactly, at least in the comparison of Han Scoudrel to boba BH, they both had accurate shot, but in Han solo of Hoth to Boba Merc, its even less of a comparison cause of Han of Hoth's lack of accurate shot, which would make it a bit more difficult to give Han of Hoth a boost good enough to make him a more favorable choice than Boba Merc. But only time will tell.

HSoH is only good for Hoth theme scenarios....it's time to give Han Solo pieces a break for a set or two.

except for NR Han of course

I tried him out earlier this week. He was a fun figure to run though I doubt I'd bring him to any tournament. I decided not to go with the Garm/Leia Senator combo though. Instead, I paired him with Leia, HC, Luke, HPU, Wedge and a bunch of pilots.

The double cunning was good but without accurate shot it makes it harder to get to a position where you can make the most use of that ability. Went up against a Revan squad and +8 attack makes it difficult to hit that 25 defense in cover. Evading pilots make good figures to combine fire with though, so in the end it worked out.

In terms of theme, I'm glad we have Parka Han. Gives me an alternative to my Hoth/ESB squads when having a smelly Tauntaun around just isn't as aesthetically pleasing when you place 'em on the map... :)
