now as we all know there were seven forms of lightsaber combat. I feel that these should be addressed in the minis. Vapaad has begun to be addressed with the triple crit range, but what about dem jo, makashi, soresu, ataru, and the other ones? each had their own inherent strengths and weaknesses against other styles as well as ranged combat. ex. Makashi is a finesse style, not unlike modern rapier or saber fencing whereas dem jo was a style based upon power, not unlike using a longsword or bastard sword.
I feel these style differences should be brought into play in an upcoming set, a set of all jedi perhaps.......

I would disagree here, I think trying to add saber combat styles to every mini would add an unnecessary level of complexity to jedi minis. If it was just something like vapaad it would be ok, but if they were going to try to make them interact possitively or negatively against other styles, it would be taking it too far.

it would however add to the level of strategy, i wasn't think that it would do much, merely something like with dem jo " +2 to attack if opponent has makashi" or something along those lines soresu-" +2 defense against ranged"
makashi "+2 attack +2 defense against melee, characters with dem jo ignore the defense modifier"

that should up the complexity level too much, if at all

It wouldnt add anything more difficult to the game. What difficulty did Vaapad add? I for one would love to see a soresu Obi. A fig that is very defensive, but maybe a little less offense. I think it could be done very easily and could add some nice flavor to the figures if doe correctly.

I think these are easily incorparated into the design of the mini. I don't think each Jedi needs a Lightsaber form SA. The stats and abilities reflect their style more.

I wouldn't mind there being more Lightsaber styles, but not necessarily with the complexity of interacting with one another. Maybe they could be 'vs. adjacent opponents with Melee' to indicate that your fighting style is not going to affect the guy with a blaster. But like Sithborg says, most of the combat style is already built into the stats. :saber:

I feel the same way, rather than making it an SA, just modify their stats

they could incorperate it into their stats, you are right, i just feel that they haven't taken it into acount, for the most part, for most of the jedi. they should make it a SA or incorporate but they should do something with it.

I'd like to see a small boost with added defense vs range or melee....ect. Putting SA bonuses against each other would be too much; that's what RPGs are for. Maybe 1 or 2 more specific boosts like Vaapad and anything else can be put into the stats themselves.

I always figured this is one of the reasons Obi has deflect all the time anyhow :saber:

The lightsaber styles would probably make the game too complicated, and the styles are probably build into the minis, the lightsaber styles are probably more fit for the RPG.

The only other style that should be addessed is Obi-Wan's Soresu.
Giving him +def agaisnt adjacent enemies, and not affected by crits.
