Guys, I need some advice. I am not a collector and usually only buy singles that fit the squads I plan to run for competitive tournaments.

I really can't concentrate on SWM atm due to work/family taking a large amount of my time, I have a global idea of the minis I should target but I need some insight from players like you who have run some serious battle tests with them.

In short, I wanted to know which minis from TFU (VR, R, UC and even C) I should absolutely acquire because they will be in the competitive squads of the TFU era.

Thank you in advance.

There are several from TFU that are worth getting your hands on.

A few I can think of off the top of my head are:

Boba Merc
Vader U
Luke HPU
Revan(if you play 200)
Yuke
Raxus Prime Troopers
Felucian Warrior on Rancor
Rauntaun

Thats what I got but, Im sure theres many more that fit into the current meta.

The absolute must haves for the competitive player would be:

Garm Bel Ibliss
Luke, Hoth Pilot
Luke and Yoda
Rebel on Tauntaun (s)
Rebel Vanguards
Golan Turrets
Raxus Prime Troopers
Boba Fett, Mercenary

There are some decent secondary options that are quite good, if not the best:

Shaak Ti
Revan
Vader, Unleashed
Ozzel
Troop Cart
Master Kota
Obi-wan, Unleashed
Vader's Apprentice, Redeemed

Felucian Stormtrooper Officer, granting Trooper Followers Advantagous Cover.
Shaak Ti Jedi Master, a very solid Jedi for Rebels or Republic.
Telosian Tank Droid, but only if you play CIS squads.

For the moment the only TFU pieces I have come from trades or tourney prize :
Loda/Yuke
Boba Fett mercenary
Garm Bel Ibliss
Mariss Brood
Obi wan unleashed
MTB
Felucian storm officer

So looking from your advice what I need in terms of common/unco is :
Golan turret
caamasi noble
rebel vanguard
Raxus prime troopers (did they completely replaced the stormies in competitive play ?)

The sure minis I will go after on the rare/VR side the Rauntaun and luke HPU. For the rest it will depend on my budget and a closer study of the competitive squads of the TFU era.

I'm surprised you listed the troop cart (but again I barely played at all these last months), in what kind of build is it conidered competitive ?

Also which minis from previous sets are back in the spotlights thanks to TFU minis (like han scoundrel with the release of A&E) ? Han rogue and force batteries (Yoda of D, Emperor Plaptine), comes to my mind did I miss someone ?

Lastly I wanted to really thank you guys because even though I can't really play SWM atm I know that thanks to your input I won't be too rusty and lost when i roll a dice again

I don't think the Raxus Prime Troopers replace the normal Stormtrooper, they are both just as good IMO. I prefer the normal stormtrooper because they look cooler and have better defense. As for some of the other pieces, the Troop Cart is quite good, he works well with Kota to help get a good position for a good Repulse. If you play Rebels a lot, Boba Merc would be a good piece, using him with the MTB and Han RH would really boost Boba Merc's dmg output, and also Garm is a must with Boba Merc.

Did the Raxus Prime completely replace the Stormie? No. It is still the better option 75% of the time.
