So... there I was, with a brand new Boba Merc and wondering how to fit him in 100 nicely. Sure, he is a direct replacement in HUB (Han RH, Boba, and Uggie), but I think he is better suited in a Thrawn squad.

So, it too is ultra simple in build: Thrawn, Boba Merc, Uggie. Against beatsticks, auto win init, scoot 6 away and put 60 on them without defensive Force powers.

[edit]I should have known I wasn't the first to think of this!

Less damage output, but you get (almost) guaranteed init and Force Immunity against all the new Double Push squads that are going to dominate 100, in my opinion. Caamasi Noble for Gambit and/or swapping.

Your build doesn't work, an uggy is Small and Boba is Medium, they can't be swapped.

A Gran or a Camaasi would be best with Thrawn and Boba.

interesting concept....I don't know if I'd ever play this though. With the Thrawn bubble do you think this is better than HUB? It seems like it might be :?

Ya know,
Thrawn is becomming more and more "Fashonable" to use his Force bubble for ofensive purposes
in the right crowd this could really be fun...

When I saw the set list for TFU, the first thing that I thought of as a counter was Thrawn. and the new Boba merc screamed to be abused with Thrawn's init control and swapping.

I'm not sure if this would work too well in 100, however. It could probably handle Bane (concentrate fire on him with Boba and use Thrawn to pick off uggies), but if Boba has to worry about multiple targets charging at he and his blue friend, there might not be enough damage output here to deal with it. Then again if you're able to land Boba's double attacks for 60 a round, it might.

Its a great idea, but I think it might shine the most in 150.

It actually works quite well. Ive used it 3-4 times on Vassal, and it really nerf a lot of squads. I think you guys are forgetting, Boba does a ton of dmg when every round is almost auto 60. There are very few beats who can handle it. JWMs are a tough combo, but not terrible actually, since they cannot block or ls assault. Its a good squad.

And the Ugo is required, must have door control.

yeah Bill I said relying on Boba was a concern, but I said if you're landing 60 a turn you might be ok. JWM swarm or a Han STA team would probably give Boba and Thrawn some fits, but if you can whack the R2 or Han fast, it would become a lot more manageable. This squad would completely own a rebel push team at 100, and I think it handles Bane easily.
