Case just played this squad against me and did really well with it (bad squad matchup, but still this was a great idea) so I thought I would post it here:

58- Boba Fett, Mercenary
18- Lando Calrissian, Dashing Scoundrel
6- Advance Scout x4 (24)

The idea is to combat force heavy squads (which at 100 I see a lot of new TFU force users + force batteries). You stick the Scouts out in front of a force user and thud him, and when he can push/lightning/grip he is thwarted by Force Immunity. The two shooters shoot and generally stay safe in cover or out of LOS (Lando mobiles and Boba Intuition and doubles if needed) while the Scouts keep their big guns busy. Cunning with Boba and then the Thuds and Opportunist with Lando works out really well, I found out the hard way.

That is very much the "Idea" behind Flea's or Fingers ? the old Bane hate squad for 100pts

Looks good, unfortunately a good shooter squad would be very hard to beat, anything with accurate actually.

It's a good combo, it might do better in 150 where you can throw in more Fringe shooters.

Yup, I have just never seen this before, but I really hadn't played outside my circle of friends until recently, and I'm the only one with Vong or Bane

And yeah thats what we were thinking, but if you could maneuver correctly with stealth and get some Thuds off you could still do well, just depends more on luck (still depends on Init for Merc to get Cunning off).

Well if you're just playing among your friends then it's fine, it really comes down to one or two initiatives, though.

Well, since I found VASSAL I play less and less with my friends. I was thinking because of the prevalence of force at 100 and most of the meta thing being on the banned list this might see some use.

I actually disagree that it gets nerfed by accurate shooters.

If I was playing against a squad that was heavy on shooters, the Vong wouldn't peek their heads out; they'd be activation fodder.

I think that with intuition, mobile, and evade Lando and Boba can do well against shooters.

Time will tell I suppose, I'm anxious to try this out a couple more times.

It definitely looks decent. If you can win init enough times against heavy hitters or Force users, it ought to do quite well.
