I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed the lack of Phantom Menace characters in SWM. I decided to try to make a bunch of them. I don't follow the customs threads much, so sorry if any of these ideas have already been taken. Also, the costs might be a bit off, because I haven't playtested any of these.

I like them a lot. Palpatine has a great ability, but I think it should result in his cost being higher.

What about Sebulba? :-)

These are the 20 Republic characters. I have 20 Seps and 20 Fringe too (Sebulba is Fringe). I'll post the rest when I'm done with them.

Well done. Normally when a fan makes a set, the prices are a little low and every piece would radically change the meta game. On my first pass through the list, I only saw two figs that stood out based on cost.

Okay, it's a rigid huge (that drops the cost by 7-10 points). Mounted weapon (further drop of 3-4). Twin is nice. Reserves 30 is very cool. The overall cost is only 32. That seems about 8-11 points too low.

I'm looking forward to the last set. Again, well done on the stats and costing.

I like them all, but I think that Maul's affinity with Palpatine should be on Senator Palpatine, and only if no other Jedi are in the squad, like Kota's O66 restriction.

He's worse than Mara Jade, Jedi in every single way except base damage. If he starts the round adjacent to an enemy and he manages to hit 6 times with his pathetic +10 Attack, then he can put out 120 damage. Mara can move 6, and only has to hit four times at +16 Attack to do the same amount of damage. Mara has the option to shoot in the first few rounds, too.

If anything, I think he might be overcosted, but I figured the chance to do 120 damage (however small) was worth a few more points.

Regarding the Multi-Troop Transport, I had no idea how to price it. :) I was thinking about limiting the Reserves somehow. Like making it so you only get them when you have line of sight to an enemy, or when you are within 6 of an enemy (you don't deploy troops until you get into battle). Maybe that would make the cost more appropriate. I'm afraid it doesn't do enough damage to justify a higher cost (and thus a higher percentage of a squad's build points).

Great idea. I tried to make him not too great, because I saw him being played in a lot of Imperial squads. I'll implement the change you suggested. Although another idea would be to give the affinity to Senator Palpatine, and let him have any Maul in his squad...


Fringe characters should be coming later today.

Truly awesome work. Truly.

The Assassin Droid would be pretty major, methinks... an accurate shooter for that cheap is pretty frightening. It takes very little to get him +8 to hit, so he'd be shooting at +12 with double (with Grevious around)... that is brutal for his pricetag.
