So I was thinking that the new Boba would be a great additon to the the san hill 100 meta scene. I was wrong. I thought it over, and 68 points is a terrible amount for only two activations in 100, definetly more so in a san hill squad.

But I did manage to work out a new type of squad with Boba, and here it is:

Boba Fett, Merc 58 pts.
MTB 8 pts.
Quarren assasin 12 pts.
uggies x6 18 pts.
gran raider 4 pts.

So you have 10 activaitons. You then auto-win initative, and get 3 cunning attacks off for 80 damage. Respectable for an all-fringe squad, right?

I don't think this is competative. It is decent, but it takes a few rounds to kill anything, and time is somthing this squad doesn't have. However, this squad can also pack a mini-punch, has intative control, and it is very mobile while keeping the damage up. I took out lobot just because that 7 pts. is needed for sacrifice fodder.

Initiative control is crucial in 100, so the MTB isn't such a bad choice for reinforcements. However, it'll be a lot easier to avoid your squad as well, so you might need more than just 5 uggies to kill off. Otherwise, well thought out.

Yeah, I'd be slightly worried about having only 5 Uggies to kill off. Against this squad, with just about anything I'd play at 100 points, I would likely sit in a corner and force Boba to come to me. That will eat at least 2 or maybe 3 rounds. Especially if it's a map with some good hiding spots like Mos Eisley, Bespin, or Geonosis. That's the biggest problem I still see with the MTB. It forces you to be the agressor, and from my experience at GenCon, you NEVER want to be in that position if you don't have to.

I edited the squad and took out lobot. I think it is an improvement.

Except now if your opponent has San you can't do anything to keep the MTB off the table.

Honestly though, how much does San get played in 100 points? I wouldn't sweat it too much. If you do end up against someone with San, just use Boba's Accurate to take Cunning Attacks on the Sep reinforcements whenever possible. After 7 rounds of winning Initiative and giving him reinforcements, I bet you could still kill 100 points worth of characters.

Actually if your opponent brings in a swarm of battle droids or whatever, that's not that bad. You can just snipe them out, gaining points.

And it's hard to win against a san squad with the MTB IN the squad, but that's just a risk you will have to take. I don't think this is really competative, but it's pretty good, IMO.
