We are once again going to have a complete day of Star Wars gaming on Friday, December 28th from 10:00 AM until at least 10:00 PM that night. We plan on playing X-Wing, a 200 point constructed tournament, and maybe rumble (teams?) or a themed event of some sort. We will break for lunch (maybe some steak tacos and margaritas :)) and get back to gaming. We are not playing for any prizes per se but are playing merely for a chance to play SWM all day and have some fun. I will bring donuts and milk for the early game so come ready to eat. We will finalize the events and times soon (this coming week) so please check back. Everyone is welcome so please come for a nice time.

Finally someone has a SWM event on a day other than Saturday (worst day of the week for me) and it's a Friday (close 2nd worst)

It's a bummer - I can't ask off any work around that time.

Anyone doing anything that Sunday?

We will have 200 pt. constructed, X-Wing, and really exciting...a 150 point Sealed. 24 Boosters, 6 boosters per V-set, players draft in pods of 4 and build a 150 point light side or dark side squad.

Johnny, say it ain't so. We have people that cannot afford minis and love to play and we are always happy to let them borrow ours for games.

Why? Did you trade or sell them off?

Yeah Johnny, don't skip the event because of a lack of minis. Maybe you could PM some squad choices to one of the guys who is going, and maybe he could bring the stuff you need. I know that if I were going I'd be more than happy to bring some of my minis for you to use.

Something happened in April Tim so I had to sell them all off to get a new camera. I used the other money for xwing, the rpg, game of thrones and the new card game.

I didn't sell them all i still have some republic gungans and Rex.

I am still up in the air since I don't have a clue what's going. I plan on driving from carmel if I can get away.I'll be there all weekend Thursday night to Sunday.

Last time there was a star wars event amd i was in town I couldn't get away. This time it's just meeting family friends so there is a shot.

Had a really nice day of gaming. Had 10 people throughout the day, some dropped in to play a bit and had to leave but we still finished with the draft (sealed) VSET only game with 8 players and that was after a long day of gaming, eating, and drinking. Those in attendance: Me (Mike Giles), Les Eller, Randy Barker, Chris Flores, Bryan Hole, Ian (Randy's friend), Greg Hollis, ETN, have totally forgotten his name since the long day but he came down from Northern Indiana for an over 2 hr. drive and we enjoyed his company, and Tony Mullins.

Played 200 constructed but sadly not long enough to hash out a game between Les and I, would've been fun with his Xizor squad against my Bao Dur, Bastila, X1, 4 x IG-86 squad. Mixed in a bit of X-Wing on Randy's excellent maps and finished with the Draft Sealed event which was a lot of fun. Didn't really see Randy's squad but he was 2-0 at his table and I was 2-0 at my table and we called it a night for those with long drives. It was Light Side or Dark Side VSET only and 150 points and I played Light Side. Drafted Corran Horn, and paired him with the Rep. Wookie Jedi, a young jedi, and stealthed Rodian, and the Rep unique with Slicer, Twin, etc. My last game against ATN he had a Nightsister on Rancor and some droids (vong hunters? missiles 30), and a few more. I positioned my Corran near a door to where he could not reach him with MR2 and had to open a door with another of his players, I tripled with MR2 and opportunist killing the droid, I then went head-to-head with the Rancor while I had the REP trooper and Rodian shooting outside the danger zone. His failed parry saves and my oppo (letting him go first of course) took him out quickly.

Lot of fun, we will keep everyone notified of future events that will be coming. Already started assembling prize support for our Regional this upcoming summer.

It was probably Nick Moore, I know he had asked me about carpooling.
