Well I guess someone should listen to the SHNN from last week, then! LOL

1. We are not using the three commander effect limit.

2. Yes, characters from S&V, JvS, and new Epics will be legal. All of their stats will be released a few weeks before GenCon.

3. Map list is restricted.

I'm pretty sure that Ray's post was in response to my questions about the Epic 500pt tournament.

It's about the 500 point skirmish...

It helps if you read the earlier posts. ;)

More questions, this time about the Team Tournament Royal Rumble:

1. Are the Teams still 3-person Teams? If so, does that mean that 6 players will be sitting around the Rattatak Arena map? How will having 6 players interact with the 4 doorways/entrypoints for new pieces to enter the battle?

2. Assuming 3-person Teams, that means that each full Team will have 9 squads (3 per player), correct?

3. Are teammates allowed to bring the same pieces? Ie, can both me and a teammate of mine each bring Boba BH? (I sure hope not!) Or if we can't, then can I bring Boba BH while he brings Boba Merc and the other guy brings Boba Enforcer?

4. Regarding final scoring to see which Team wins the match: Is it a compilation of each player's score (probably best), or is it just a matter of which player scores the highest of all 6 players, with the other 5 players' scores being disregarded?

I think it'll be a really fun event, but it's not quite fully clear how it will work, hence my barrage of questions.

All questions are answered in the Royal Rumble thread

Any other questions PM me or sthlrd2 (Jake) or ask them in that thread if it is unclear.

I have yet another question, this time about the V-Set-Only tournament:

Does the restriction of only 1 non-V-Set-Piece apply to characters brought into play through...
-Reserves or Immediate Reserves (Vader AoE)
-the Rebels' Versatility pieces (Han & Leia) or Pelleon's CE
-Reinforcements (both from Lobot and from Vong)
?

Yes, the restriction is very restrictive, lol. If you want to choose "Stormtrooper", then all you get is the regular, 5 pt, "Can't Hit Broad Side of Barn" Stormie. If you then want to switch out someone with Pelleon's CE, then it has to be a V-Set piece you bring in. However, if the only WOTC piece you will have on your squad will be through Pelleon, you can have multiple pieces in your repertoire, but obviously only have one in your squad at a time. Same with Versatility, as long as character you bring in is only WOTC piece, you're fine. And yes, you can reserve your WOTC piece for Reinforcements, but if you have Lobot, then you obviously have already used your WOTC limit.

Did I answer everything, Trev?

I explained this on the SHNN last night, but I thought it would be helpful to list it all here. So there is no confusion, I am going to list the events which you may use pieces from Scum & Villainy/Jedi vs Sith in your squads.

1. The VSet Only 150 pt tournament
2. The Sealed Event (yeah, this is obvious, but still putting it down)
3. The 500 Pt Epic Skirmish (and the new Epics are legal as well)
4. Bounty Hunter Challenge

Also, we were discussing doing a live SHNN at GenCon, and this is something we will probably end up doing. More details to come on that!

If by non-epics, you mean the regular pieces from S&V and Jedi vs. Sith, yes. And six new Epics as well as the original 12.

What about the Bounty Hunter Challange figs? Are they considered part of S&V, J&S?

No, they are not. Those particular figures are not legal for any registered GenCon tournaments.

Do we have official rules for Vset only? Or is it just what it says on the tin - literally nothing but virtual cards?

Limited access to door control and lack of mouse droids kind of puts some factions in a bind.

Excellent question, Graham, and for the answer, here is the excerpt from the online catalog.

"For this 150 point tournament, your squad may only include pieces from Destiny of the Force, Renegades and Rogues, the Battle of Theed Palace, Vengeance, and Cantina Brawl. Ugnaught Demolitionists will be also legal, and each squad may contain one previously released miniature from any faction besides Fringe (Unique or non-Unique, which have no limit to the amount, i.e., as many Stormtroopers as you wish)."

One thing that was decided after I submitted that was that Scum and Villiany/Jedi vs. Sith will also be legal. The full stats will be revealed at least two weeks prior to GenCon so that they can be worked into your squads if you so wish.

You forgot to mention that R7 will also be legal or at least that is what is written on the the GenCon site.

That's a question for Chris, but I suspect he will put it up for sale on his website. :)
