Did a little count.

I want to know the true number of NON-REPRINT minis we have.

I am talking about unique sets of stats (not unique figs), so in other words; count each variation of Vader, but only count stormtroopers once.

We have 8 full sets of minis. +1 AT-AT, + Hologram Veers and Blizzard Scout 1

AoE was all reprints as was Rebels and Imperials. So is the rest of the Hoth battle pack (minus the 2 previously mentioned)

So the count is 483 minus all the reprints. That is our actual mini count in my opinion.

Here are the tallies (let me know if I missed something)

Rebel Storm: 3 reprints (2 Stormtroopers, 1 rebel trooper)

Clone Strike: 4 reprints (1 clone trooper, 2 battle droids, 1 super battle droid)

Revenge of the Sith: 12 reprints!!! (2 clone troopers, 1 clone trooper commander, 2 battle droids, 1 bodyguard droid, 1 destroyer droid, 1 neimoidian soldier, 2 super battle droids, 1 utapaun soldier, 1 royal guard)

Universe: 4 reprints (1 clone trooper, 1 battle droid, 1 super battle droid, 1 stormtrooper)

Champions of the Force: 1 reprint!!! (1 sith trooper)

Bounty Hunters: 0 reprints!!!!

Alliance vs Empire: 13 reprints!!!!! (1 elite hoth trooper, 1 rebel commando, 1 rebel pilot, 1 rebel trooper, 1 heavy stormtrooper, 1 imperial officer, 1 scout trooper, 1 snowtrooper, 1 stormtrooper, 1 stormtrooper officer, 1 gammorean guard, 1 Nikto soldier, 1 tusken raider)

The Force Unleashed: 3 reprints (1 elite hoth trooper, 1 snow trooper, 1 stormtrooper)

Rebel Storm: 57
Clone Strike: 56
Revenge of the Sith: 48
Universe: 56
AT-AT 1
Champions of the Force: 59
Bounty Hunters: 60
Alliance vs Empire: 47
The Force Unleashed: 57
Battle of Hoth 2

If my count is right - we now have 443 individual minis.

Are YOU a memeber of the 443 club?

487, It is a prettier number. Also 487 means I have a lot less minis to get, and it makes a collectors life easier. 487 also makes it so you don't have doubles of Rs and VRs just sitting around picking up dust.
So go with 487!

Okay, plenty more of us agreeing to not include the extra 15 from the Hoth pack. We're going to be the 487 club now. That'll take me a while to acheive, what with the one case I got, and the one release tourney tomorrow.

Once again - you set the precident - you therefore can't count AoE! All reprints!!! I guess if you were stretching it, you could count the AT-ST (It;s a resculpt - kinda) but the others there is no way you can count.

I cry foul

Hey, I joined the "425 Club" because that is what it was called. I didn't choose to include Attack on Endor, someone else made that choice. I just figured that most of the good, respectable players are here, so we'd just gather opinions. I suppose it was due to the fact that none of them were unique, so no one minded having an extra of each of them. If the Hoth Pack were no so riddled with re-prints of Unique rares from past sets, I think the debate would be more riddled with differences of opinions. You had a great mathematical solution, Timmer"Creator of Tile Wars"B, but I was looking for good reasons why/why not to include the 15 pieces of Fodder (sorry, that is what I see them as) into the inventory count.

Either way, I agree not to include the "extra 15" from Battle of Hoth.

I guess I'd rather not have these crappy reprints count either; I'm voluntarily giving up minis to tally!

Me too.

I will have them since I am buying the Hoth pack, but I do not think they should be counted.

Well, I have an awesome friend who managed to snag an extra Hoth pack at the $10 price, so I guess I don't really care whether I keep the extras or not at this point. At the $60 price, I had intended to trade away everything but BS1 and Veers, but now...I guess we'll see if anybody offers me any really good trades that I can't pass up.

Either way, I still have a bit to go as I'm missing a fair amount of things from some of the older sets anyways.
