Hey all
I have been around the Star Wars mini scene for a long time now, I was in the first sealed tournament way back, I think I came in 8th or whatever place won you an extra booster, and have followed the boards for a while, watching the chase Jabba thread develop was classic. So with that being said I am very excited to be able to do another sealed box set launch after all these years.

Does anyone have any info on what this tournament is going to be like, how big is the set, how customized are these minis? Any info would be great.

Thanks again and see you at Gencon.

Scum and Villiany is a 60 piece set. All "boosters" will be pre-randomized and will contain 7 custom miniatures to represent pieces from S + V.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know your specific question and I will try and answer it.

As far as "how customized" the minis are--it's pretty much whatever we thought was appropriate and do-able given the characters in the set (the full set list plus stats will be released about two weeks before GenCon, I believe) and our skill level. So it's everything from simple repaints and lightsaber mods on WotC SWM figs to more complicated customs involving base minis from other games, such as DnD and WoW minis. If you go back to last year's GenCon threads, we provided a custom set of Renegades and Rogues, and there are pictures on the forums. That's the type of work we're doing for this set.

Hope that helps.

Ok, I have a question then: Are these custom S&V minis for use during that event only (and then we return them) or are they minis for us to keep once the event is over?

I've never really been one for sealed events, but if we get to keep the cool customs that you guys put out, then I'm really interested! :)

The customs are included in the cost of the event (that is, I think the price was raised slightly to accommodate adding the customs).

So, yes, you get to keep them :-)

I'm super stoked for this, it's an awesome idea (and I'm sure quite an undertaking, but it'll be worth it). I haven't participated in a seal event since the release of Champions of the Force, and hopefully I'll get better rares than I did at that one.

Unfortunately, yet again I can't make it Gencon, but I'd like to make customs for this event to help out. Can someone please pm, me some instructions on what needs to be done, and I'll do my best to not bite off more than I can chew. If Eric (Rukh) is going to Gencon this year I can get the customs to him or I can send them anywhere you want.
