I know it has been mentioned before but the cost is steep to buy one. Here is a site that will build them for you and affordably provided you send in the plan. Here is the link as well as a picture of a similar item to our mini that has already been produced and is available for sale. If really desirable minis could be planned and sent to them I bet people would pay $5-$10 for a piece (maybe I'm wrong).

The War at Sea players have been using Shapeways for a while for new ships and planes. I'm not convinced it's a good option. Which material do you get them made from (several to choose from)? How strong are they (will they break in my box)?

I would be interested to learn of your experiences with these mini's.

DarthChaos already made Darth Vader on Mustafar, Vergere and Joruus C'Baoth on Shapeways. Here's the thread about it: http://swmgamers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11527&p=135940&hilit=mustafar#p135940
..and here's where to get them:http://www.shapeways.com/shops/custombitz

I bought all 3, but Vader's hand and Vergere's claws were already broken when they arrived. The material they're made of is quite brittle and they could break where the material is thin when put in a box with the other minis. Maybe you can have them made from something more durable, but my bet is it would increase the price significantly. If it could be done though, i'd be all over it :)
