Trying to finish this out. As is, seems I pretty much have to go with uggies/brutes etc to get the act count up and more door blowers.

60 Corran Horn, Jedi Master
33 Jacen Solo, Jedi Knight
30 Vergere
29 Ganner Rhysode
24 Zann Consortium Defiler
9 General Dodonna
(185pts)

I'm wondering if there is a better shooter for this than the Defiler. He has a nice bag of tricks and is another Ganner option for a juicy mining if it comes up, but the low attack isn't going to hit anything big. Thought about Gen. Wedge to help the others stay alive, but then no range threat at all. :?

Probably give VCA6 to Corran as he's the best attacker and needs the help in melee. Looming threat of Sever Force is fun, and quite possibly useable!

Any ideas appreciated. :)

Well, best option I'm seeing so far is drop the Defiler and go with Lobot, R7 and an uggie. Covers door control decently, and I can bring in a shooter like: Lando DS, TBSV, Greedo BH to stick someone.

Or the KC for Corran against a heavy shooter squad, then give VCA to Jacen or Ganner. Or continuing with the survivability-gimmick factor maybe even Evazan. ;) If Tyber isn't around I can max out acts or add BG, Figrin, or maybe throw Momaw and Crumb in.

Damn you Lobot, it's hard to not play you. :P

Hmmm, I really have no idea how to build with vergere. She is a good piece but getting the 30 point investment out of her seems difficult. I'll think about it and post what I find.

Yeah, she can't do much on her own, unless you pull off the sever on a key enemy, which is gonna be pretty tough even with Ganner, since the other guy will be on guard for it. And not always gonna be useful anyway.

I've used Vergere a bit and she is a lot of fun and one of my favorite new pieces. Force Sever is a great threat and with Levitate you can actually get it off, usually in the end game when your opponent is pressed by attacking other things. The Coral Implants are a great bonus especially in a Leia Skywalker reroll squad, on top of Parry and her healing any damage that gets through is enough to drive an opponent to ace her and give off the Force Spirit.

@Don, thanks for the reminder about Force Spirit. Between that, granting VCA 6, a heal or two and hopefully a Sever, might be able to get enough extra mileage out of the others to make up her points.

I'm purposely avoiding Mara for something different. Corran has the best damage after her... MR2 and the reflexes are sweet too.

Hmm... I have another idea I need to look into now.

Corran is a beast, and should be played more. Here's some food for thought:

--Invincible Corran--
60 Corran Horn, Jedi Master
33 Jacen Solo, Jedi Knight
30 Vergere
23 General Wedge Antilles
22 R2-D2 and C-3PO, Galactic Heroes
18 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo
8 R7 Astromech Droid
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 9 activations)

Corran and Jacen would both be incredibly difficult to kill between their natural defenses, evade, and bodyguard from Artoopio. Meanwhile the TBSV and Wedge get twin from Artoopio and turn into pretty decent support pieces. Vergere can make your opponent cry by healing your beats. Not a brilliant squad, but not awful by any means.

Thanks Graham, I was working on pretty much that same squad as a plan B version on Bloomilk, though I hadn't yet resigned myself to ditching Dodonna, so I was in a bit of quandary with the paltry few remaining points.
Hard to kill, but the low acts scare me a bit. Meh, there will always be a bad match up of some sort or another. Rule #1, try not to die!

Here is another idea, jumping off the Corran bandwagon for a sec...but sticking with the "what will I toss at you this round" theme.
Give Celeste the armor, Jacen the ghost for more lightnings, Vergere can cloak and sever once.

51 Celeste Morne
33 Jacen Solo, Jedi Knight
30 Vergere
29 Ganner Rhysode
27 Lobot
10 Luke Skywalker, Force Spirit
9 General Dodonna
8 R7 Astromech Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
(200pts. 9 activations)

Preferred Reinforcements: (whatever is needed)
(Lobot) 17 Greedo, Bounty Hunter
(Lobot) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
