1 week to go!

Ray (and his wife) have graciously offered a place for me to crash Fri night. (Thanks Ray!)

So the only question now is where do we game? And what do we play?

Looks like Jake won't be able to make it. :(

As of right now, it looks like gaming might be at my house (yeah, still gotta give that info to the wife, LOL). Tim, as the honored guest, what we play is totally up to you. Not sure who all will be able to be here, but we'll nail that down this coming week.

Alright - here's my thoughts:

1. Post here if you plan on Friday night gaming at Ray's. Depending on number of players, we could do a few different things. We have 3 for sure (Ray, me, Jake) - who else is coming?

2. Ray has tempted me with a special offer that could happen - I don't know if he wants it completely public so I'll let him spoil that (maybe you'll only find out if you come - but it could be AWESOME!)
-Don't need to bring anything for this - Ray will handle it. ;)

3. I would love to get in a Royal Rumble. The great thing about this format is we can do it with any number.
-bring 3 separate pairs of characters that are 100 or less each. (100+100+100, 6 characters total) NO FACTION RESTRICTIONS. You can mix factions even within pairs. Unique rules still apply, so you can only have 1 of any named unique amongst all 6 figures. We'll teach you the rest if you haven't played.

4. TILE WARS. I will bring all my tiles - so just bring a 200 TILE WARS squad and we'll go at it.

I will be there Friday night along with Bill Hazel and I have to say that all three options are cool as Ray told me what the something special would be this morning.

On our way down. Look out for my killer Republic squad. Give you one hint - I have no force users in my squad.

Clone Trooper on Speeder + Panaka + Yularen.

Got one right, and it ain't the speeder.

Panaka can't swap the speeder anyway.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

You're obviously just playing a bunch of BARC Speeder, then. :P

TIm are you sick? This might be the first time I have ever heard of you even thinking of playing a squad with no activation control. If it comes out that you don't have Lobot either, then I will know you aren't feeling well (either that or you got grabbed by the body-snatchers and aren't the Tim we all know and love).

I swear to God if you play Gungans and then people start copying that crap I'm going to lose it.

Seriously though, is it Naboo Pilots, Troopers, or Soldiers? I think it is. Those dudes are GOOD, and you can absolutely make a competitive squad out of them. I've been playing them since BoT came out, and will probably play them in a Regional this year. If I don't, I'm sure someone else from Atlanta will.

On the other hand, you said I got one right before, and all my best Naboo squads have both the new Panaka AND Yularen. Maybe it will be a squad that's only technically Republic, but is mostly Fringe plus like R2 and Yularen.

Looking forward to seeing what it actually is.

You can still play Omega squad. They don't actually have Order 66. :P

Its not Omega squad. The real weird part is I'm running seps but with no lancer, no San hill.

It was a little misleading when Tim said that daniel had only 1 right as he was thinking of a different version of a character.

Yep, I'm convinced now: Naboo Pilots, probably with Death Shots. I was kind of hoping that someone from Atlanta would be the first to play that competitively, because we've been talking about it for a while (and like I said, I've been playing those guys since BoT was released), but I'm still really looking forward to how they do.

Sid/SAvage/NS Mother and some Nightsisters? Maybe Maul but probably not? It can be a really tough squad unless you run into Vong and then it gets much harder.
