My wife was oddly excited.

I also got a Taun Taun....everyone should get that one.

Yeah, I think it's that anyone with a level 50 got 30 days of free time, and everyone that had an active subscription as of today got the Tauntaun. Definitely very cool.

I find it slightly annoying that I have paid for my membership just as long as everyone else, prepaid for the game, how does that make me "less loyal?" Because I don't spend every waking hour on the game? It's pretty stupid.

That's what I've been hearing a lot of. Maybe it should have gone out to all those with a Founder's title..or just everyone, etc..

On the other hand, it takes at best 35 hours of play to get to level 50. Probably an average of 50-60 hours played for normal people. The game has been out for 4 months..., so all you'd need is 1 hour every other day on 1 character.

I know I enjoy getting through a story, and getting to 50 was a part of getting through my character's story.

I will admit that I am pretty slow I get 1-2 hours a week and sometimes I can not get on during the week at all. The past couple weeks I've been helping a friend power level on some lower planets so I have not been earning any XP, but I still play the game and I still have fun and been paying for the last 5 months, it's really just a minor gripe but it does seem like a bonehead move on the part of Bioware give everything that has happened.

Yeah I hear you.. another idea could have been if your total /played time was above a certain x..

There's always something...the old addgae if money were given away in boosters...complain about it being folded.

Unfortunately, Azavander, your comment comes after reading a slew of them on the SWTOR Forums from people in very similar situations as us-Fathers, job, clubs, organizations etc. I had already made up my mind with them that if Trevor can have a 50, anyone can. I see this guy on for 2 hours a week...if I'm lucky.

I typically play around a lot, but fortunately, I decided I would focus on my main (for a change) until he was done. Trevor, I think, only has one character.

Could there have been a fairer way to do it? Maybe, maybe not. Which is easier to program in a search: accounts with 50's, or accounts with x game hours? TBH, I don't know.

Anyway, I know I'm probably on the high end of our target audience and I normally get in about 3-4 hours a day 4-5 days a week. I have 3 50's and 4 25's plus a slew of 20's I deleted.

At least I get a Taun Taun... and got to spend an hour tweaking my interface yesterday... That was actually rather interesting and I can now see my XP bar.

Speaking of, has anyone seen this yet? I was on late last night, that's how I found out about my free game time, but no Taun Taun. As of this post, the servers are down and I just got home from work.

It does bother me a little that I didn't get the Taun Fawn or the Razer crystal, but meh, I have a white crystal :D

Actually, I'm usually on for maybe 2-3 hours per night...but for the past 3 or 4 weeks I've been working on my alts for most of the time. I now have these characters on the run (their levels might be slightly off from what I list here):

-21 Vanguard: Larin
-14 Commando: Sev
-20 Sentinel (lots of fun in PvP): Serra-Keto
-19 Sage: Niessa
-5 Consular (to become a Shadow): Karn-Agi

And I haven't yet started my 2 Smuggler classes.

I was looking through the Legacy boosts last night, and there are some really cool features.

One of the coolest things, though, is that you can use a lvl 25 speeder already at level 10 (woot!) and you can use Sprint already at lvl 1 (rather than 14)!

And yeah, I'm loving the customizable UI. I just wish I could drag my Map onto my 2nd monitor...that would be awesome.

All servers are now back up and running! Please note that you will download a small patch upon login (approx. 200MB). Thank you for your patience. As a reminder, due to today's unexpected maintenance, all active subscribers will receive a full day of game time as compensation.

EDIT: So what is the guild bank about and how do we utilize it best?

Unlike most MMO's, to even get the first tab for a guild bank it's going to cost us 600k. Given that we have 30 toons in our guild (counting some of Trevor's friends-if he'd ever invite them in with his Officer power ;) ) that's going to cost us 20k each to get it up and running.

I guess send the donations to Ldia (as I'm not currently working her) and she will keep the tally.

They're actually really beneficial as it will allow us to stock it with items the guild can use. In other words, Dagavin (my armorer), Cel (my artificer) and Valorus (my cybertech) could be dropping gear, weapons and mods in there for you guys to use.

I can probably get some extra money from my Sorcerer. Also, the Guild Bank would be great for depositing orange items that people can make or find and do not need.

They just announced a change in the free 30 days to anybody that has reached legacy level 6 for people who do not have a level 50 character.

Level 6 seems a skosh low, maybe ridiculously so considering you start earning it at level 30 with your first toon and level 1 with any subsequent ones.

Eh, I guess they need to keep it on par with a single 50.
