Well this hasn't changed since last year and had the same performance. Won MI Regionals

Atris
Thrawn
Mas
3x Handmaidens
2x rodians
1x R7
Veers
Jabba CL

They have both cunning and accurate so are always a +15/30 with 4 accurate shots. Devastating damage output to an opponent that can't get out of the way or avoid damage.

This squad can be tough to master and 1 mistake can end your day as your attack force has 40 hp each, but has massive damage output (360 just from the handmaidens).

Without ysalamiri, I'd guess it's a near-auto-loss vs a solid OR squad--is that true?

That was my thought however you can play mistake yourself right out of a game. Also with the printed evade you can you keep the maidens alive until Bastilla runs out of force points.

The only time I've played against that squad, I was playing an OR squad with Carth ORS, 2 JBMs, a Seer, and enough activations to outlast the Handmaiden squad. It was straightforward to send my attackers out to base the Handmaidens, then use Bastila for ABM on two consecutive rounds so that they didn't get a big attack off at the top of the round - I really don't think the Echani player can win that matchup. I thought the other player did well to kill a Battlemaster before the end of the game.

If the OR player packs Melee that is certainly the case. HannahCannon played this squad for the Lansing city champs and it was just a mop up operation for my battlemaster. However all shooters gives the Mainden player a chance.

All true. But in this meta (which is wonderfully diverse, btw!), every single squad has at least one bad matchup.

So it's clear that OR is a bad (very bad) matchup. Are there others?

I would guess my vong squad from last year would have been hell for this squad.

Even at +15, I see them having a few issues with GOWK. Mace, with a 30 in cover, is tough to hit. I would've liked to see how Marka Ragnos does against it, because once he's based, it is really tough. Even a +15 vs a 25 Def is something I find rather favorable.

And yeah, super stealth would be a pain as well.

With Atris active they are +19s. I played this specifically because it has such a good matchup vs tank. 4 hits need to get through to kill GOWK and 5 to kill mace. Needing 11s (or 7s) to hit those guys isn't a bad option and with swap I should be able to keep mostly out of reach of most melee squad.

I did beat cloaked mando death-shot in the semi-finals so it isn't the impossible matchup that it sounds like it should be on paper.

As far as OR 4 shots at +11 for 10 isn't horrible and greater mobile is your friend. You basically have to survive until the round that bastilla can't ABM. Not the worst really as on most maps she has to pop round 1 in order to not get pounded with the accurate so that means you know that you just need to stay out of the way for a couple of rounds and that bastilla will either be bum-rushing to try and kill you before ABM ends or will give you round 5 to start blowing stuff up. Def a tough matchup but not the impossible matchup that it looks on paper.

I beat Nom bombs with this squad last year at the Chi regional. Def not an easy matchup but you just have to work it and spread the damage out all over.

you beat my OR squad too at Chicago because I let you kill two Wookiees. I think my OR squad is death vs mandos, vigos, and this if you know maps.

Okay, it is +19 max Atk. I was thinking +15 seemed a bit low for how well it does. Nevermind then.

I've watched this squad be absolutely devastating in the hands of an inexperienced 8 year old (no hyperbole).

What vong bomb squad? It wasn't mine cause I didn't play you there. I wonder if it was a shimmra bomb squad cause that seemed the more popular even though I thought I proved it to be less effective.

I think it was against Matt P. I don't remember exactly what was in it except that it had Nom and it took me a while to figure out how to beat it.

Mostly to answer TINT, anything with cloaked/super stealth will destroy this if they out activate the maidens. A well placed Force Repulse (4 or higher) will end them as well if it is played poorly. Strafe will kill it fairly easy. As would Yoda on kuu towed and used properly.

It is a solid build for the most part but the maidens are squishy.

I remember playing against Jason at gencon with this squad. I had skybuck and I remember getting a game changing crit on Jabba to seal the deal for me. It all evened out though veers was money on all his shots and Atris made a ton of blocks.

Point is, don't underestimate this build. Go kill something and hide.

Wouldn't super Stealth be countered via Accurate Shot?

I'd see Cloaked units being a pain. Some GenoHarradans/Mando Scouts or force users with Force cloak would be difficult to handle, but then again, it depends on the map. I think a Sep squad full of Chameleon Droids would be fun to run again that squad. :P

Where is the smiley that hits its head against a wall repeatedly when you need it? Super stealth was the original counter for accurate, then there was a counter for it in disruptive/force sense, then they made cloak, and soon the v-sets will come out with an anti cloak :maul:

100% not true. I beat a death-shot mando squad (4 scouts) in the semi-finals of the regional and he outactivated me by quite a bit. This squad is actually really good against Yobuck depending on map of course, but I beat Lou (HOF player and one of the better yobuck players I know) many times with this squad. It's all because it really takes 3 activations for yobuck to get to you and kill one, so you either kill yobuck before he goes or kill him after he has killed 1 handmaiden. It is pretty easy to stay 16 away from him. I beat Lancer with it at Gencon (played by Eric Frost who is another top player) and as probably the top lancer player in the game I will personally say that it can very easily beat lancer as it is pretty easy to stay spread out enough so the lancer can't hit more than 1 of them and it is really bad for the lancer player to trade 1 lancer for 1 echani.

Yes the maidens are squishy, but they have some neat tricks and if you aren't careful you find yourself on the losing end of them.

Out of curiosity, do you post as Neifi on Bloomilk?
