 Post subject: Good Luke Squad - with Merc Commander!!!

Hello, I made a good Luke Squad. How do you like it, or how don't like it?

Luke Skywalker, Champion of the Force (cost 49)
Verpine Tech (cost 12)
2 Chagrian Mercenary Commander (Cost 13, 26 Total)
2 Mon Calamari Tech Specialist (cost 4, 8 total)
Rebel Trooper (Cost 5)
=100 points

The chargian mercenary's commander effect is really great with Luke, it adds +20 damage to a critcal hit and with Use the Foce ---that is pretty helpful. The other characters were more or less just thrown in there. Verpine Tech gives the Commander,the mon calamari tech,and the rebel trooper jolt within 6 squares --allowing their low damage to do something in the battle. Looks good, bad, really bad, really great... opinions..

You could explain why a rebel storm squad would beat this squad :lol: :cry:

I may want to playtest before saying good, but it is a good premise at the least. Can it beat Bane? Maybe if he rolls poorly on saves right from the start.

Well, how do you guys like the combo of the Chagrian Mercenary Commander and Luke? I didn't really know what to add after that.

I really don't see how a pure rebel storm squad could really defeat this squad. If luke saved up 3 Force Points he could deal 80 damage to Darth Vader Sith Lord in one turn within 6 squares of the Chargian Mercenary (40 due to use the force, +20 more from the Commander, 20 more damage if furry attack hits) -- 100 damage if he doesn't move. He would have a hard time keeping up his damage output.

Your Verpine can't hit anything; your other filler pieces can't hit anything.

Luke will be dead before he pulls off more than 1 or 2 successful attacks.

He simply costs too much and doesn't have enough beef to him to do much of anything.

Yes, I said a RS squad will beat it. This one, in fact:

Boba Fett
Han Solo
Leia Senator
R2

Yep, no door control. doesn't look half bad, lots of critical hit chances. However, there isn't much else in the way of pwnage.

You only get the super flurry crit atack every 3 rounds, evos with Piett own tis squad. Luke dies too fast and the medics are worthless with the jolt becuase they have melee. RS probably could beat it............

Evo's and Piett? I cannot see that working at the 100 level ever...

Also, why the Chargain Merc's? Only 1 is useful. Leia is a must here.

What, 3 Evo Troopers? They need to roll 13's to hit Luke in cover and Luke has deflect. They die fast too. I cannot see it winning often.
