Hey spaceman, I believe it was like 3am when we were attacked. Unless your guy is a hell of a night owl, he should be at the 4 hours already. (should have been done come combat even...but oh well :P)

We need to figure out a new plan because odds are obi will fail again unless he gets lucky(dumb house rule),

I'll just try and talk Six-Six into giving us more time. If that doesn't work, i do have some credits of my own that I could fork over to pay for it.

Thank you all for keeping the story moving in my absence. That was some of the better in-character posing thus far, and it will be rewarded. I have replied to the game mechanic items for now. I will post the slave girls response after they are resolved.

Sorry for the disruptions to the game. I will be out of town this weekend and will not have access to a PC.

Sorry, the every other day thing is getting to me. Can we switch back to daily? When we do every other day I forget if I posted yesterday or not...and I have my doubts others have posted since my last post so I tend to wait till the last minute to be sure.

I would rather that. But I will let the group decide.

On a different note: I will be driving to Texas from March 28 through the April 4th and mostly will not have internet access.

I've been really busy with work lately and hardly have any time to post. I've been working 60 hours a week for the last few weeks, so my free time is reaallly limited. My work schedule is going to be like this for the next month or so. I'll try and get some posts in, but it may be very sporadic.

Personally, I kinda don't like the being penalized XP for not posting everyday. I understand why it's being done, but at the same time, real life commitments gets in the way and makes it hard for you to post sometimes. Right now if I have free time, I am playtesting for the next V-set, so thats kinda been draining my spare time also from posting on here.

Though this may not be unexpected, I do agree with my brother, penalizing for not posting is not very "fun". In instances where the story is stagnant especially. If the story is interesting, a person would want to post to develop a character rather than being prodded to post to avoid exp deduction. Granted it is almost a necessary evil for story continuation as some people (as a whole amongst all RP'ers) do not post much. I think that as important plot development happens, most everyone will have their say as to what is going on with their character, whether being prodded or not.

As far as how the RPG is going, I do like the story however there are times that I wish the GM would drive the story more such as giving direction (I realize that Tree has been gone, and others will be gone as well) . I know it is a fine line, but I guess I don't mind being shown options.

I try not to 'drive the story' as much as possible, but instead try to build off your actions to achieve the story goals. There are times where I have to have things happen and insert them into the game but I don't like GMing like that.

I don't want to be the driver of the car you all are on, I want to give you a map and let you take your own route. That is part of the reason I have the posting restriction. If I don't have anything to build off of I can't let you take your own path. Also, I am not dogmatic about the penalty. I use my judgment based on the situation and also award XP for roleplaying (which is offsetting the dings). So positive and negative reinforcement :royalg:

I need to apologize for my absence. Moving across the country is taking all of my personal time. I will award bonus XP for my absence to date. I should be able to post once I get to my new home... if everyone is still interested.

I'm still interested in playing also. We should try and schedule another vassal night so that we can get a lot more xp and finally maybe go up a level.

I'm going to second Obi's motion there. At the rate we are leveling it will be 8 years before we hit level 20.

On the one hand though, it allows our characters to role play rather than roll play. I actually don't mind staying in one level for long, though it still would be nice to perhaps earn another. Our characters probably have progressed since the beginning of the current mission.
