Please Please Please do it in March or May. Several other regionals are all dancing around my gangs one anime convention trip to Anime Central. With money being tight this is really putting a damper on how many of the regionals we can hit.

Audri, when could your group come easiest? Give a weekend you think would work. I'd prefer late May myself. Pehaps the weekend before memorial day?

Would May 19th work out for everyone. Then we wouldn't have this and the Kokomo regional on back to back weekends.

I confirmed it with Lex. It will be May 19th at 11:15AM.

Jonny, you will need to contact him regarding details at some point. But we've got the date and place reserved that morning/afternoon. We can take up to 100, so come one, come all :).

Out of curiosity didn't the game store in Mt Prospect used to hold the minis events for Chicago? I was there a few weeks ago and they even have boosters in stock and a good bit of singles. (just waaaay overpriced in the singles) There game room is even set up more for miniuatures games.. Just wondering what happened if anything happened at all..

Games PLUS?
That group died a while ago and started up again somewhere. They play on Thursdays near Libertyville/Gurnee area. There are only 3-5 of them that get together. They play big battles most the time I guess.

Unfortunately there has been some definite decline in numbers. The ones that still are active have very different schedules and it's hard to play regularly.

The Dice Dojo (Chicagoland Games) is definitely the best location. We actually know the guys who own the store, Lex used to play minis himself (still does occasionally), and they have always been very good to us.

And it's very close to public transportaion. I know that doesn't make a difference to out of towners, but to the city dwellers without cars it's very important. It's practically impossible to get to the suburbs easily without a car.

Besides all of which - it's a great space and a great store. Plenty of room, and easy access to local food options.

Out of curiosity, because I got asked by someone thinking about going.. Is there going to be other prize support outside of first place?

Depends on the number of players, but yes, there will be. Most likely store credit (and this store has it all), whatever things Lex wants to throw in, usually lots of stuff, and probably will have trophies for the top 4 made by Engineer.
