That makes sense, about the DotF decision. The last thing you wanna do with a game which is out of production is to alienate the players who are still in the game. Hopefully they can be made to see the power of the dark...I mean, hopefully they can be made to see the awesomeness that is DotF and R&R. :)

And as for banning, remember that the non-DotF meta is now 2 years old (the release of MotF)...that is the oldest that a meta has ever been. Banning figures serves to mix up the meta, which is probably necessary, if DotF wasn't an option. (Personally, I thought that the DotF meta was more fun and wide-ranging than any other meta we've had, but if DotF is out of the picture for our European friends, then I guess that doesn't matter.)

Hopefully we will use this tournament to initiate people to use the Vset in order to be able to play it next year!

There are no more DotF sets to ship to anyone. I do have R&R/BoT and Epics. Send me a PM if interested.

They'll have to get them printed from PDFs then.

For DotF is it possible to have images of the set in higher resolution than the one with the pdf?

Thanks!

Leshippy is the guy you would need to contact about that. I imagine that he'd be willing to work with you, if it means reaching a (largely unreached) group of players. If they like DotF and R&R, then they'd likely participate in future V-sets too.

It will be won by a high activation one beastly hitter squad. Probably an Arica, Cad Bane, max activation squad. Little else has a chance with that ban list. I highly suggest rethinking what you've all banned.

Bill nailed it.

I don't see Arden Lyn  but I do see Arica, Cad Bane, 5 Mouse Droids, Nyna, Thrawn, Imp Dig, Camaasi, Lobot and maybe a Disciple of Ragnos?

I was reading the thread in French on cdf, using Google translator, where everyone discussed the restricted figure list. I love the phrase that Google translator came up: "the removal of the generals who procrastinate".

I will post the teams on the topic result.

About the format of the CdF voted by the community, the goals were :
1) to have the greater number of player : a succes with 49 players
2) to give equal chance to all players and change the metagame. But it appears that only the community of Paris (Xavier Prein, Elivys, Me, Thomas...) knew about the VSet and had the use to play with it. Thus the solution taken was to banned some figs (Mas amedda, riekaan, wedge, dodonna, ozzel, san hill, Ig-Lancer, Yodabuck), put a limit to 20 activations max (with reinforcement), and a limit do 5 mouses droid (with reinforcement and renfort) : a succes with a lot of close matchs, event in the fianl phase were some '20' make the difference...

But at the end of the CdF all players received the first VSet, and we (Elivys) are under discussion with Eric in order to spread as soons as possible in all the contry the second VSet which is already played in Paris (i like so much the New Mace Windu) !
;)
