This is the same thing I posted on the WotC boards:

MK=Master Kota

MK 55
Lando, DS 18
Quarren Assassin 12
Wicket 8
AA 7
5 activations, 100 points

I played Kota once before designing this squad and it was then that I realized that Repulse was really good. Unfortunately a squad built on that would be terrible, and then I noticed his CE. Bam! This was born, four of the best Fringe units in the game all beefed to epic proportions (Wicket has a 23 def in cover!)

It performed better than I thought it would, I've played it once against UPS and it barely scraped by a win. Not half bad for a squad thrown together in all of 2 minutes.

Comments, suggestions?

I like it, but for that repulse, I'd use the Doombot. I'm not a big fan of using R-2 and killing him, but to set up a godly repulse is too good to pass up. Good job for being creative and orginial.

Thank you, thank you.

One problem, I don't have Doombot and I'm not planning to get him any time soon. I'm not a big Republic player. He was up there on the list of ideas, but he's out of my price range.

Definitely looks solid to me. Kota could use Wicket's help usually against tough beatsticks like Exar Kun. The mix of Cunning and Opportunist attacks is great as well. Basically like a small-scale 'Jedi Interference Squad'. Would have to be played very carefully I think.

Funny you should say that. Wicket died first turn against Exar.

Great squad, Adder.

Kota is one of my favorites to build with. So many good Fringe options.

I think I'm going to play it or a modified version of it (in 150 I just add Maris Brood) this weekend. We'll see how it does.

Look forward to hearing how the squad does.

I think Kota and small, but powerful fringe shooters will become a favorite, especailly small mobile attackers. They can move within 6 of Kota, shoot, and move back away from him so they would not be damaged should he use repulse.

Or you can team Kota with Mas and not have to worry about the 6 restriction.

Dunno, that would probably work above 100 points but to get enough damage output in 100 points you need to fill out your squad with characters that can actually hit something. Besides, those 8 points can be spent on much more useful minis as far as this squad goes.

That is true, but I would still try to fit Mas in, he is just to useful. Not having him in this squad will seriously limit you, but it will work either-way. You will have to be very careful playing either squads, though.
