I have an idea for a mini:

Fringe:

Outlaw Technician
Cost: 13 points
Hit Points: 10
Defense: 13
Attack: 1
Damage: 10

Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
Mounted Weapon Upgrade (Allies within 6 squares with Mounted Weapon gain Overwhelming Attack (Enemies take a -4 to saves to prevent or redirect this character's attacks.))
Heavy Assualt Rifle Upgrade (Allies within 6 squares with nonmelee attacks that deal exactly 30 Damage gain Splash 10)

And a few more names to add to the list of mini's I'd like to see:

Fringe:
Savage Opress
Peace Brigade Commander

Vong:
Mezhan Kwaad
Quoreal
Nei Rin
Vua Rapuung

Its in the sense of yoda standing still then springing into his sonic spin attack.
Also stops you from running him up and attacking (almost) everything in some kind of broken ability form.

Advanced Door Gimmick - At the end of this character's turn, he can designate 1 door that he can see as open; it remains open until the end of this character's next turn, or until he is defeated. This ability works even on doors that have been designated closed by a character with override.

The major problem with override is locking doors. Regular door gimmick sucks since it doesn't trump override. This is the solution. :)

Don't know what character(s) you should put it on, but I recommend a cheap fringe piece. If it's not cheaper than an R7 then it won't be used.

-OR-

to make it more expensive and exclusive - add this to the ability:

Advanced Door Gimmick - At the end of this character's turn, he can designate 1 door that he can see as open; it remains open and cannot be closed in any wayuntil the end of this character's next turn, or until he is defeated. This ability works even on doors that have been designated closed by a character with override.

Finally - another tweak for a great door opening genius character - make Advanced Door Gimmick replace attacks, then give them regular door gimmick as well. This would make them very strong in this department. Not only could they open 2 doors a turn, but they could open a door and then get out of LoS. As long as it's not locking doors - I believe this will promote action in the game.

CE: Allied characters with Door Gimmick within 6 squares gain Advanced Door Gimmick.

Awesome idea! I could see Zam impersonating a Tusken Raider and getting the benefits from Asharad Hett, or Reprogram from the Jawa Chieftan. :Jawa:

This is a great idea, but I'd be worried about things like making her a vong.

Maybe limit it to fringe commanders?

That would mean vong are a race and not a faction. I don't recall any ruling on that. I figured vong getting sa's and ce doesn't make them a race, if that's the case then "rebels" are a race as well.

In our game, Vong is considered a faction, not a race, so that ability wouldn't give Zam any Vong SAs

In the SWs Universe they weren't one race anyway. Our game is very consistent with this actually.

Well, that could be argued, but that argument can be done elsewhere. :P I was just clarifying that the Shapeshifter ability wouldn't work with things like Shaper or Scarification.

I don't think it can be argued. The Chazrack were not the same race as the Vong. But yes, I understand what you meant :)

We need the following:
An SA that causes characters within X amount of squares to lose Flight. It should be fringe and cheap.

Something that either reduces the defense of Mouse Droids, makes it possible to move through them, makes them not count as nearest target, makes them not provide cover, or some ability that allows me to kill a bunch of them at once.

Here is an idea of a SA that would accomplish this:

Precise Shot (Small characters do not provide cover against this character's attack)

Its basically a more limited version of Sniper, but not overly powerfull. If just makes it so you can shoot over those annoying mouse droid walls or a horde of ewoks. :D
:Ewok: :Ewok: :Ewok: :Ewok: :Ewok: :Ewok:

Id like to see some kind of piece that represents it (or its allies that its in contact with) being sliced into the opponents communications. Could be represented by "Opposing characters do not get the benefit of commander effects against this character" or something along the lines of "This character gains all the benefits, but none of the drawbacks, of opponent's CE's, with all descriptive wording (like how the Yammosk changes stuff to affect Vong) changed to X to affect him."
